LIFE A wise saying I read once said this... " Courage - always do what you are afraid to do." Again, another strong, wise saying... Bernadette Devlin: Yesterday I dared to struggle. Today I dare to win. ************************************* All very good sayings. Very wise words. ************************************* Is it fair to say that many of us have come to realize that the fairy tale we were sold way back when we were 4 years old, just hasn't come true? Is it fair to say then, that, that old fairy tale just isn't true to life? At least not our lives? Paul the Apostle had his share, over and above any hardships we have ever faced in our lives, today. He was beaten all the time. He was stalked, and chased. He was in chains because he believed so deeply and strongly in the Gospel he preached, that being imprisoned, being beaten, being hated, going without food - starving, being alone...... none of those things stopped him, or even hindered him from pressing on! Paul the Apostle even said, " when we are weak, then He is strong." Paul the Apostle wrote, " I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me." Very strong words. Very powerful words. Very awe-inspiring words. In Christ we have everything we need for this life. Though the way is dark, though the rain pours down...when you think all is lost - if you put your faith in Jesus Christ, He will turn it around. I know those are easy words to say. To some who have been through very hard times, those words do not really hold any water. For those people, I want to say, the way doesn't seem clear to you. It doesn't even seem right to you...and yet that is the way you've been going. I want you to know that every single step you've taken, and every single day that has passed by, He has never left you or forsaken you. Though you haven't always felt His presence in a way that you would have liked... He is still there. He has been with you through every decision you've had to make. He has seen your tears in the night time. He has heard your moanings and even those moans that have been unuttered. We serve a very real and Powerful God. The God of Elijah is still alive. The Power of God has not changed. We have changed. Elijah called fire down from Heaven...and that God who sends fire down from heaven; is still the same God we serve today. Whatever He has done before - He can certainly do again. I know its tough, and its a scary thing to do. Its hard to put your trust in the Lord Jesus Christ. It is hard to give up total control of our lives to a greater Power, that being, Jesus Christ. I promise you, if you will take that step forward today, and step out in whatever little faith you have left, I promise you that He will meet you right there. He has not changed. He loves you and calls you to Him today. Don't fear Him. Don't try to hide anything, He already knows. He already knows, and He still loves you. God richly bless you Lynx |
