anime rant...

Anime-
a Japanese style of motion-picture animation, charaacterized by highly stylized, colorful art, futuristic settings, and sexuality and violence.
Cartoon-
a sketch or drawing, usually humorous, as in a newspaper or periodical, symbolizing, satirizing, or caricaturing some action, subject, or person of popular interest.
How the hell do you find anime as being, simply, a cartoon! I tell you that there is so much more to anime then anybody will ever know!
I have seen ALOT of anime, and i mean ALOT! i force myself to even watch the little kid shows like Pokemon or My Neighbor Totoro (although i liked it very much). I have seen the unknown, and unreleased in America! No one can tell me that i don't know anime well enough to say that anime is not a cartoon! It bloody well isn't!
1. Cartoon are simplistic and generic.
1a. Anime is extravagant and has depth and careful planning.
2. Cartoons are made specifically for the young.
2a. Anime is for ALL ages! It even ranges to the shallow perverts.
3. Cartoons tend to not be rebelious or make political statements. (though this may vary)
3a. ALL animes are controversial, and challenge the mind! ALL! Even freakin Kaikader...which was the weirdest anime i have seen.
4. Cartoons take a short amount of time to learn how to draw.
4a. Only an anime artist would know how FUCKIN' hard anime is to draw.
