Google Talk was released today, and it has been reviewed by quite a few sites, which I'll link to at the end of this post.![]() It turns out Google Talk is more than just an Instant Messaging client. Although they say it is not telephony, GoogleTalk has an internet call feature. From the screenshots, it looks like there is an option to record calls. Skype has yet to incorporate such a feature, which would be very useful for podcasters to record interviews. There are several paid services like HotRecorder and Virtual Audio Cables that allow you to do this, but thats the reason I may be switching over to using Gizmo Project or Google Talk for my podcasts, once I actually try both out. I'm not yet sure whether Google Talk will allow it's users to IM to AIM, Yahoo IM and MSN users. I'll most likely try it out once I get home since I use a Mac at work, but I doubt it will replace Trillian for me. Give it a try and let me know what you think. These are some of the links/stories I've been reading today. bunch of them are through digg.com.I'm not a big fan of Internet Explorer (prefer Firefox) but I may try their beta, just because they're integrating rss and they now have tabbed browsing. They're pretty much copying both features from Mozilla, but I'll try it out anyway.
