mdeleon New Digital Camera - Subscribe
Last weekend, I purchased a digital camera. I had been wanting one for years. On Saturday, I did some research on cameras in my price range and picked three I woyuld look at and compare prices on, I also read a lot of reviews and tried them myself at Best Buy.

I ended up decing to take the Canon Powershot A75 and I really like it. It's got 13 shooting modes, more of what I have in my SLR 35mm. It's a 3.2 megapixel and 3X optical zoom, which isnt the best, but luckily you can add on wide and telephoto converters if I need more. It was $225, a lot lower than prices I had seen online.

Anyway, I've been shootiing away, and I'll upload my pics and show them to you guys in my next entry.

I changed my template today to integrate my blog into my website at www.madgfx.net. I'm still working to get it exactly like what the site likes like, so I'll have to keep working on that. Just a short update. I've got some pics I took this weekend that I will post tomorrow.

mdeleon Friday Night Photos Oct 13th, 2004 4:59:41 am - Subscribe
You thought I was gonna say Friday Night Lights, didn;t you, well, as much as I really wanted to see that movie this past weeekend, I actually got to see some Friday Night lights of my own, when two of my brothers and I left for San Antonio on Friday to go see one of my brother's games. My brother Jacob is the asst. director of Brackenridge HS Band and I thought it would be a good time to take some photos with my new camera.

My niece, Isabella, she is soo cute.

Being creative again, I guess, I just liked the way the hat looked, I guess.

My camera is getting serviced while I type, had a small fall and I wanted to take every precaution and I had a four year warranty so I sent it in to Best Buy.

mdeleon Installed: XP Pro Oct 15th, 2004 3:03:38 am - Subscribe
Well the other day, I installed Windows XP Professional onto my home computer. I am finally out of Windows 98 hell, and my system had no driver problems to speak of when I installed XP.

I wish I could say I purchased the OS, but, I actually downloaded from Sharezaa, and burned the .iso to a disk.

I also downloaded and installed SmartBarXP to get an idea what the sidebar on Windows Longhorn will be like, and it's a nice tool for changing desktops, a built in media player, a message center and more, but I can't get used to thesidebar taking up the space it does on my screen. I have my screen resolution very high bc I like a big wrk area for graphics and webdesign and the sidebar was just eating up space, and allthough I could have it on auto hide, every time I went to close a window with the x button, it was so close to that side of the screen that the sidebar would always come up.

It's better than some other sidebars I tried, but I like my desktop just the way it is.
