Lost My Job

What I'm hearing:: TV combined with the \"mechanics\" swearing

So, I lost my job on Wednesday. I was working in a telemarketing joint in the city for those of you who didn't know.

Turns out I wasn't getting enough sales. Everyone I rang was ineligible for the stuff I was selling in some way. Mostly because AGL (The Australian Gas Light Company) had already sold it to them before giving me the freaking data sheets!

Chris was very nice about it though, and I can't blame him... I blame Roy. Roy's the shortass manager who doesn't speak English properly and is scared of anyone taller than him (ie: me!) and gets really defensive the minute anyone appraoches him.

So... it's back to the jobsearch for me. sad.gif I hate jobsearching and the crap Centrelink puts you through. I should be grateful for the $, but the rest of the paperwork and beaurocracy that comes with it, ain't worth it in my eyes.

There's not much else going on really. Ryan and my bro are still working on Ryan's car trying to get it to function, they have been doing so since about 10 am! It's now nearly 4.

Mum's birthday is on Monday and I bought her a DVD of the party starring Peter Sellers. It's one of her favourite movies, and the boys like it too, which means that she can watch it without too much opposition.

I'm all itchy on my feet... I get excema still. It's from not resting properly when my body is tired out. The worst place though is on top of my ears where my glasses rub on it, and constantly irritate it, so even when I am sleeping well, it's always there, becasue if it is rubbed and irritated, the rash stays there longer. I am trying to deal without the glasses for a bit, so thatt he rash can heal, and being without a job makes it easier too.

Well this is another longish entry about nothing really, so I'm gonna sign off for a while.

Ta ta for now.

Centrelink does take the bull shit a little too far though. They lose info, and have half a billion computers running your claim. Seriously, someone in Tasmania could send you a letter telling you they've cancelled your payment, when in actual fact the person in Melbourne just sorted the problem out. Then you'll ring up, and end up with someone in Queensland handling things, and the person in Melbourne will have no idea what's going on. It's just plain stupid.
