I was scrambling around. I went to find a suit in my closet, and OH NO - one was at the cleaners, one I'd already worn to the first interview, and the rest were very dark and thick.

In addition, I'd worn my only pair of suit savvy shoes to the first interview. Imagine - only a short time to find a complete interview outfit.

I found a really smashing cute one. It was cheap polyester, but you had to look very closely at the seams to detect the (lack of) quality. The fit and look were so ON, and I was thrilled to have found it.

Then I went to the mall and bought some shoes on sale. It was still a splurge, but they were so great, and they went with the suit, and I expected to wear them all summer.

I really liked that outfit.

My mom successfully defended her thesis. (Go Mom!) I'm so proud. She's so sharp with academics.
I think God really blessed this book she wrote... It may even gain circulation as course material.

My dog barfed on the rug today. That was gross. There was nothing to do except clean it up, and throw it away, so I did. She is usually an outdoor dog. (She's indoors infrequently.) I felt badly that she threw up. I hope her digestion is doing better.
