Week 41: Introducing the team

Dear visitor,

It is time to introduce you to the team of Robotics Group of University of Oulu.

The team is part of the research group working in the Computer Engineering laboratory which is led by Professor Juha Röning.

The team has got earlier experience in outdoor robotics from e.g. Civilian-Elrob 2007 and Military-Elrob 2008. The latest news among the M-Elrob 2008 also revealed that the Robotics Group team won the Camp Security scenario (9 participants).

Week 40: Leave-taking

On wednesday the 1st of October our robot left the uni. The robot is now on the way to Tenerief. We managed to do everything we needed before the freighting and now we really hope that the robot doesn´t get lost during its trip.

The package is physically quite big - The total weight of the package is 150 kg.

Week 39: Sampler testing

It is the last full week we have before we have to send the robot to Tenerief (The robot will leave on 1st of October).

We have just finished the sampler tool for the robot and we are ready to test the tool later today (wednesday). A video will be posted in the end of this week.
