The first version of the robot is going to be completed in about one or two days. Hard work is showing some results and first testings may start during Wednesday or Thursday. Dear visitor, The team of university of Oulu has already started the third last week with great enthusiasm. During this week the team will test the improved version of the tracks. The tracks are equipped with kind of cantilevers for better traction. The second thing to build during this week is the manipulators tool for collecting the sample. We already have the first tested version, but we need to have the emptying capability for clearing out the sample for the scale. We try to add some video or picture material along the line. We have already made some great breakthrough with the track system and climbing the steep slope, but there are still lots of things to do before we have to back the robot for shipment (on week 40). |

Week 38 will be the testing week. We are going to perform as much tests as possible. The crawlers are ready and the sampler / manipulator is the final thing to do before sending the robot to Tenerief. Today we are even ready to reveal some pictures of our work: | |

It is the last full week we have before we have to send the robot to Tenerief (The robot will leave on 1st of October). We have just finished the sampler tool for the robot and we are ready to test the tool later today (wednesday). A video will be posted in the end of this week. |
