ok this is unadulterated bullshit! i found this on yahoo.com on my day off. needless to say, i was pissed off! it is rediculous for the us government to revoke someone's citizenship for being a former nazi waffen ss guard. i think it is cool that people like that are still alive. there is a lot of information to be gained and learned from these types of individuals. yet our government wants to kick them out?!?!?!?!?! gah, the more and more i think about this conservative lead government, the more i hate it. DES MOINES, Iowa - A federal court on Friday revoked the U.S. citizenship of a former Nazi SS member who served as a concentration camp guard. ![]() John Hansl, 80, had argued that he freely disclosed he'd been in the German army when he and his family came to the United States in 1955. Prosecutors said, however, that Hansl failed to reveal he'd been in the SS Death's Head battalion that guarded concentration camps at Natzweiler in France in 1944 and at Sachsenhausen near Berlin in 1943. Thousands of people were imprisoned and murdered at the two camps. Hansl's testimony "regarding his personal conduct as a Death's Head guard leaves no room for factual dispute whether he personally advocated or assisted in persecution," U.S. District Judge Robert Pratt wrote. "He accomplished this by carrying either a machine gun or rifle and standing watch over the camp or over work-details outside the camp," Pratt wrote, adding Hansl admitted to assisting in the search for an escaped prisoner, "who ended up being shot." Hansl's lawyer, Lisa Mattsson, said the ruling will be appealed. She said the court did not sufficiently review new evidence that was presented. Hansl, of German descent, was born in Croatia in 1925. When he was 18, he was drafted in the Nazi Waffen SS in 1943. He admits he served as a perimeter guard at the Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp near Berlin. He was later transferred to the front lines, where he was captured by the Allies. Hansl, his late wife, Anna, and their children emigrated from Austria. Hansl and his wife became citizens in 1961; the children were granted citizenship the following year. More than 70 people who assisted in Nazi persecution have been stripped of U.S. citizenship since the Office of Special Investigations began operations in 1979, according to the Justice Department. There are about two dozen additional cases currently in litigation. A message left Friday at the Justice Department's Office of Special Investigations, which handles such cases, was not immediately returned.

![]() have you ever loved a band or cd at some point in your life and then like stored it away in a case of 'never played cd's'? well, i have. i just found a long time favorite band of mine's cd's. stabbing westward. they are an amazing band. i used to listen to these guys back in the day with some of my friends from mccallie. we used to listen to them at the SAC after classes... hell, for that matter, we used to play their albums between classes and in study hall as well. we used to read crazy true crime books. my favorite and what turned me on to polcie work ultimately was helter skelter; the true story of the manson murders out in los angeles. i remember that book used to mesmorize me. i used to try and try to get my hands on a copy of it because my mother thought it was eveil. and she was right, that book, and what it is about ir really evil. haha. but whoa, when i was in the 7th grade, that book was the shit. i loved it. i used to read it religiously. but anyways, back to stabbing westward. my friend eric peterson, funny how i remember him so vividly... he probably doesnt even remember me. anyways, he used to let me listen to his stabbing westward cds and read his true crime books that his parents let him have but mine wouldnt. well, i fell in love with stabbing westward back in the day, 1996 to be exact. and i used to listen to them all the time. well, about 4 years ago, i stopped listening to them because of other shit. i was listening to hells of other music and kind of put them on the backburner, so to speak. well, a moment ago, while going through some of my CD's, i found the album, self-titled, that they released before they disbanded. its apoppy album in retrospect to their previous efforts. many fans forsook them because it is almost a sinister version of a goo goo dolls record, which i love, because i love the goos. anyways, its a purple disc and has so many good songs on it. it brings back many memories. i love this cd. not to mention, the name of the band... STABBING WESTWARD!!!! to me that is the most, violent, bad-ass, wicked sounding band name that i have ever heard. i love it. anyways, i am about to go to Dads CDs and pick up the new dishwalla cd. i have herd it and actually have burned copy of it as well... but i want the real copy of it. i dont know if anyone is like me in that regard, but i love having the real copy of an album... anyways. i am going to head out... i will let you all know how it is later. oh yea, that police reading that i had to do and said i was going to get right on, well, needless to say, i didnt... haha... but i am really going to get into it here later sometime because tomorrow i work all day long!!!! patrol has to be the best thing everOH YEA, everyone needs to go here and check out my globaldust site or whatever... its kind of cool. all of you should sign up.. there are some really cool features on there you guys! here is the link to my profile on there.. http://www.globaldust.com/memberbio.php?user=CIDCOP7 also, here are some cool pictures that i want to share with ya all!!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() my favorite baseball team ever!!!! ![]() ![]() my kinda partner on the job... hot ass police officers yall!!!! haha. ![]() ![]() ![]() this is the new dishwalla cd that i am going to be getting here in a bit.. everyone should buy it too.. they are an amazing band that everyone should listen to!!! ![]() the greatest flag ever!!! ![]() the best college football ever!!! it is such a beautiful day outside today! the only problem is this.. I AM BORED AS HELL!!! i need to get some reading done and as a matter of fact, i think i am going to jump right on that. i bought a great CD last night. Pete Yorn - Live in New Jersey. everyone needs to go out and buy this album. it is one of the best live albums that i have ever bought and my favorite song on it is called 'on your side.' its such a sweet love song. but then again, almost all the songs on there are great love songs. i am not sure, but i think that i may have to turn in a paper on monday for criminal justice ethics. i really hope that its not due on monday because i am not writing it right now. anyways, its really sad that i am in here on the computer on such a nice day. but i just got a call from some of my buddies on the XC team @ ETSU and they said that they want me to go play ultimate frisbee with them so i may take them up on it. anyways, more later. kudos

these are 2 pictures of my top 2 choices of bikes that i am thinking about getting. they are the Katana 600 and the CBR600, which is a honda make. i am kind of partial towards the honda because my personal vehicle is a honda. however, the katana is cheaper and looks just as good i think. i dont know though, i will have to continue to ask around and find out more about the two bikes. here is what they look like! 2005 Katana 600 ![]() Honda CBR600F4 ![]() like i said, i love them both, i am still caught between the two. but i am sure that i am going to get one soon!

Well, I dont really have much to do today until tonite... I have a crime scene that i am assigned to investigate tonite downtown. it should be interesting. i have assigned a few others in my platoon to perform various tasks. i will be talking to the first responding police officer on the scene and ask him an assortment of questions. then someone will draw, sketch, the crime scene. one will take photographs. one will do measurements. etc etc. the list goes on. i have ten officers that i am 'leading' in this exercise. i am excited about it a little. i have qualitative and quantitative research methods for criminal justice @ 215 this afternoon which i am NOT looking forward to. however, we will be getting a test back so that will be good. i am going to buy a sport bike. i have been thinking about it for a few years now. and before i went to college and was living at home with my parents, they forbade me to even want a 'crotch rocket,' as we used to call them. however, now that i am making my own money, etc, i am going to buy one. i am thinking about buying a Honda 600. i think they are called CBR - 600's, or something. i know a few police officers that ride around town and i want to join them. plus, my partner and best friend, Moody, is getting a bike as well. and then that way we can both ride. well, i dont really have much to say this morning.on a light note, everyone needs to find out who david stith is. he is an amazing singer/songwriter from northern kentucky/cincinnati, ohio area. he is in one of my friends' band now, strip the image. follow this link and check out some of his tunes!!! this is good 'cop' music... great for patrol. http://www.myspace.com/davidstith

i just bought a new book written by one of my mentors and professors, dr. braswell, a former correctional officer as well. it is called morality stories. it is basically an assortment of police ethics short stories that seek to present you with perplexing situations that test your discretion as a police officer. i have to read 3 of them and write a paper on how this will help me to be a better police officer. ![]() *for those of you wondering cidcop does in fact have a meaning. it is pronounced C.I.D. COP. CID means 'criminal investigation division.' then of course, you all know what 'cop' stands for. i just thought that i would add this to my first blog so everyone would know and i wouldnt have to answer this question multiple times. |
