My Chemical Romance Is an interesting enough band, they became really popular really quick, I don't know about anywhere else but where I live noone had really listened to them much until the release of Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge, and then along with the release of The Black Parade they pulled in even more fans, but what I find humorous is everyone who starts listening to their first album (I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love) they seem to like the lyrics and music just as much and in some cases more than the later releases from MCR, In my opinion all of the albums have beautifully written lyrics, I think the main difference is their first album was alot darker and I find youth today enjoy the dark lyrics over happy lyrics to an unhealthy degree, I guess it just reflects the additudes and feelings of youth and thats why they love it, if more bands could write songs that relate close to people lives they would be this popular, people don't always care what the music sounds like if they like the words, not that I'm downplaying MCR's music they are one of the most talented bands around today and possibly the most talented in their own genre of music, and I think the people that don't like their music it is a matter of not understanding music period, I've heard comments about Gerard's voice but in my opinion if the music and lyrics are good, why complain about what the vocals sound like, and I personally enjoy the vocals because they are so unique, and then theirs people who down the lyrics because they can be dark, I don't agree with that either, if musics lyrics dark its to relate with someone or else the writers feelings coming out, people need to understand that lyrics are expressions and that when looked at from the right view can be really beautiful, thats it for today cause I have to get some stuff done around the house but I'll start some more blogs soon.

Something Corporate/Jacks Mannequin

I'll start chronologically with Something Corporate the singer Andrew McMahon is pure genius and his talent on keyboard is outstanding, overshadowed clearly by the fact he was diagnosed and treated for leukemia and pulled through the other side, obviously a huge change in his life, also a change in music style along with that time frame as he moved into Jacks Mannequin both bands amazing music, Something Corporate I find a lot more piano fused than Jacks Mannequin but maybe its just more pushed in the sound mix, also I find the style has changed dramatically even still no one can argue the pure genius of either band its simply amazing how they can play, my only complaint is Jacks Mannequins new album I find a few of the songs sound the same but thats the age old problem that happens in music and I personally deem it forgivable, last thing I wanna say is go on www.youtube.com and search "Andrew McMahon tattoos" and there will be one something along the lines of "under the skin - Andrew McMahon" watch it and love it, its brilliant.

Paintball

Because I'm going paintballing tomorrow I chose this topic, its going to be short today cause I'm exhausted, So basically I just want to explain the case here, most people are too scared to go paintballing if they admit it or not...the fact is its really not that bad, if someone trys tell you how bad it hurts either their a wimp or they have there guns tuned up illegally, me and my friend have tested and show each other at point blank range and sure it left a bruise but thats expected for point blank, most fields now have a rule that you need to be either 10 or 20 feet away or your not allowed to shoot someone, yes some people might find this lame but for those who are scared to play cause you might get hurt you don't need to worry because with these rules in tact if people follow them properly there is slim to no chances of getting hurt, theres more of a chance of pulling a muscle while running then being injured by a paintball so what I'm trying to say is give it a shot before you decide it hurts too much to play don't take someone else's word for it, if you still think its that scary find someone experienced who will help you on field by staying near to you and giving you any instruction you need it will be a lot more comforting to have someone there, another side topic of paintball is "wipers" people who wipe the paint off them when they get hit before the ref sees so they can keep playing, in my opinion this is cheating and if your going to wipe don't bother playing some say thats all part of the game, but no its stupid and its like any other sport if you decide to cheat you just shouldn't play... thats it for today but I'll probably continue this blog another day.

Avenged Sevenfold

The first band I'm going to write on is Avenged Sevenfold I'll start off by saying they are undoubtedly very talented now I do enjoy listening to this band but I would like to touch on a few different topics about them in this blog first of all is their music style, if anyone has been listening to Avenged Sevenfold for their whole career then you would clearly know and agree that their style has changed considerably, many people have been quite upset over this fact and I don't totally agree with that, from my own standpoint as a fellow musician I think its great that they have been able to transform their music and I personally do not believe it has anything to do with screaming being hard on M.Shadows voice I think they have just had some creative ideas adding up to the releases of their new albums, that being said its an amazing difference between some of their older songs like Darkness Surrounding and their new songs like Dear God, I simply state, if you don't like the change you don't need to listen to it, that may sound rude or offensive but I don't mean it in any such way its the same as anything else, if you don't like a certain food you don't eat it, so if you don't like a song don't listen to it , theres no point complaining about not liking someones "new style" of music because they probably are not going to change back just because a handful, or even large group of people don't like their new style, thats pretty much everything i had to say on that topic, aside from that I just wanted to put a note out there to remind everyone that they are still just humans, theres no need to be extraordinarily mean or nice to them because they are in a band I'm sure they would appreciate it just as much if everyone treated them as people instead of stars, not that the spotlight isn't nice but I'm sure they like it when people treat them as friends instead of being awestruck , and this doesn't just go for Avenged Sevenfold this goes for any bands or stars I write about I just thought I would get this off my chest early into my blogging days. Thats it for today but I'll be back with more blogs of Music and other things.

Okay so as a first post I’ll explain what this is about, I’m making a blog to throw out my opinions and critiques of different bands, I’ll try and do at least one band a week and maybe more if I have the time, If you have anything to add feel free to leave comments and even ask questions I’ll do my best to address them in the next post after I receive them, By no means is this personal attacks or bragging up of certain bands I’m sure I will have good and bad things to say about every band I bring up as a topic, in the mean time between critiquing bands I will blog about most anything that catches my attention kind of an information pond for people to browse, read on and enjoy!
