My life is in the dephs of despair
I am so lonely and afraid
But out of a storm a voice calls to me

What is this voice I hear
and what is it saying
Wish I could understand
What is so important about it
But out of the storm he calls to me

The Voice, His voice is so familiar to me
He speaks of comfort and forgiveness
I wish that it were true and real
But out of the storm
My Savior tells me it is

My loving Savior
Forgive me of my deeds
Free me from my chains
And set my spirits free
For in my storm
Is no peace
and forever darkness
But out of the storm
With Jesus by myside
I am safe
