neighbor Trash bags and the dance of the city leaders - Subscribe
Reported trash bags behind the Central Market on Central Ave. on September 19th., Sunday September 24th and October 3, 2006 and October 12, 2006 and yet the bags of trash are still there on the ground almost one month later.

There is a dumpster there for the store and it would seem that the bags were put there by store employees when the dumpster was full or by some other party.

Surely someone at the store would pick them up? Nope they are laying there.

Surely someone from the city would respond to four complaints?

Well an aide to the city council member for the area did after four complaints.

Silence from the mayor's office.

The pride is just over whelming.

Almost one month now since the trash bags were reported at the dumpster behind a market and across the wires comes; matter resolved.

My response;

This matter has been resolved.

Et al;

As a citizen of Toledo, I would like to ask why it takes so long to get
a simple matter like trash bags on the ground at a business in plain
site resolved?

It is not to get resolved by not addressing it and I take the time and I
make the effort to help by reporting the problems as any citizen should
and I get grief about it when I report the same problems week after week
after week.

How about we all work together to make Toledo a better and CLEANER city
in a timely manner.

Nearly 30 days to resolve this seems out of bounds to me.

This mess was reported on September 24, 2006 and since then a trash can has not been placed there and in the time span the trash comes and goes.

Is this what people want to see at bus stops in Toledo?

This close to a new shopping center?

And directly in front of a present shopping center?

Hello, pride?

E-mail from Neighborhoods department tells me that the mess is cleaned up, yes.

Trash can, no.

And the clock continues to tick, how many days this time.
