| Came across about a city across the big pond. Sam Skimin, head of the council's cleansing services, said fast food litter posed a real problem for his department. "Discarded food, drinks bottles and wrappers all have a negative impact on our city's streets, particularly at weekends," he said. "Council research carried out at the start of the 'Brighter Belfast' campaign showed 60% of respondents admitted to littering. The main reason was that they were too lazy to find a bin.
