| Out running errands and crossing through the intersection of Detroit and Central I glanced over at a car wash, the self service type, that usually is busy but now appears to be closed. What caught my eye is the dumping of trash bags in the bays and the piles of trash and debris at the dumpster at the rear of the facility. Doesn't anybody see this? The Mayor earlier this year took varied city officials on bus tours of the city, although I suspect the tours were of the city central and not the neighborhoods, and he spoke to the gathered officials about keeping an eye open for problems. Eye's closed on this one it would seem. How can we have pride in our city with festering places like this? How can a business owner fail to maintain or walk away from the business and let this mess start. No pictures, for now, as the Neighborshood Department was notified on August 30, 2006. |
