Look out for the Roads

We did a ride tonight from St.Margrets bay going toward the exibition grounds to peggy's cove. The road from the (Bay landing) Prospect to the big lake is all carved up a real mess. Its about 10 k of terrible road till you almost hit 3/4 of the way to Peggy's Cove. If theres away maybe you could get this road news out. I know alot of people like that road but man it was ruff tonight. Glad I did it in the sun light- would of been a nightmare at dusk or dark.

The 14 between windsor and milford is under construction so try and steer clear. |

Is all of the Winsor - Milford section under repair? The Milford end was terrible last year but most of the rest was good to great.

The #10 from Middleton to Bridgewater is in very bad shape.

Hwy 224 between Upper Musquodoboit and Sheet Harbour is disasterous on a bike or in a vehicle. |

The worst spots on the #14 are from Hardwoodlands to Milford. A decent detour is to take the turn-off to Elsmdale, which is fairly new black-top. It doesn't add much time or mileage. |

UPDATE on the #14 and #10
# 14 - as of 25 July the new asphalt is all down, only the lines and shoulder upgrade is left to be done.
#10 - on 12 July rode north section from New Germany to Middleton; the road has be patched and is not rideable (6 - 6.5 out of 10)
