My old blog home has been renewed, restructured and I now have all of my old posts back. There's too much going on here, in my life, to have to take care of a lot of blogs, especially with them all being repetitive posts of the others. This is a nice place, but I'm going to go home. If I were able to figure how to delete this blog, I'd do that. Instead, this post will have to do. Ta ta, folks & hope you have a lovely life. |

I was curious so I went to www.efx2.com and was immediately redirected. Keith has a post up folks about the rebirth of efx2. In a nutshell... there's a new domain: www.efx2blogs.com and due to the phishing scam, he's no longer able to use his coding. He's switched to Wordpress MU. Don't know about the rest of you but I happen to adore WP and have become very fond of the templates, plugins and widgets available. WP is what powers my photoblog and I'm hoping that I'll now be able to host it in a community with the template I have. So check it out efxers... Keith hasn't given up on the blog community. |

Okay so bear with me as I tear into this silly blog template. The choices are less than stellar here but rather than gripe about the lack of style, I shall allow myself the plunge into creating a new template. Hold onto a loved one... it will no doubt be a bumpy ride. |

When your second blog home bites the internet dust you start to wonder if it is some kind of great cosmic sign that the blogging force is against you and that maybe you should hang up your notepad and get some shit done in the real world. Our community, some of whom I have known online for four years now, has once again scattered. Frantic emails have been exchanged, “What do we do now? Do we wait to see if our old site comes back or do we move on? Where is everyone? Who farted?” I have tried on no less than five new blogs in the last week trying to find a community that fits. I set this one up months ago when the drama began at the old homestead in case I decided to leave that farm in search of greener (nicer and better behaved) pastures. When the dust settled however I decided to stay…sometimes being with the people you care about is more important than being in a place you love. That leads me back here where a few of my friends have reconvened and started anew. I hate moving. I am not good with change, I don’t like starting over and I am computerly handicapped so it takes me forever to figure out the workings of a new host but I will get it…eventually...and hopefully before this place goes tits up too  ben |

So here's the deal with blogging... I miss it BUT, I'm laying down some pretty strict rules for myself. When I was blogging fulltime at Modblog and then efx2 (may it rest in peace or reincarnate itself) I ended up investing too many hours from my day in order to "keep up" with all of my fave bloggers. In truth there are only a handful that I really look forward to reading on a daily basis. The others were "return reads." You know how it goes: A blogger stops by, reads what you've written and leaves you a nice comment. Now you feel obligated to return the favor. Perhaps I'm the only one who felt obligated but in the end, I was spending too much time reading blogs instead of writing my own and then stepping away from the computer. I had stumbled onto Aeonity last year when I was blog shopping. I even have a couple blogs here that I did nothing with and abandoned. Perhaps I'll have my betzography domain name point here since I'm now a bit at odds with making it my photography site. I started running it through my head and figured that people would inevitably begin to say Betzography photography... when searching for me. UGH.. that's just horrible sounding. So I'm going with Bet Rank Photography and using a 3rd party management site- Smug Mug for my business endeavors. It's got everything I need and the community at Dgrin is amazing! Enough chatter for now. I need to do a bit of shopping. |
