A poignant message

The paradox of our time in history is that we have
taller buildings but shorter tempers, wider
freeways, but narrower viewpoints. We spend more,
but have less, we buy more, but enjoy less. We have
bigger houses and smaller families, more
conveniences, but less time. We have more degrees
but less sense, more knowledge, but less judgment,
more experts, yet more problems, more medicine, but
less wellness.
We drink too much, smoke too much, spend too
recklessly, laugh too little, drive too fast, get
too angry, stay up too late, get up too tired, read
too little, watch TV too much, and pray too seldom.
We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our
values. We talk too much, love too seldom, and hate
too often.
We've learned how to make a living, but not a life.
We've added years to life not life to years. We've
been all the way to the moon and back, but have
trouble crossing the street to meet a new neighbor.
We conquered outer space but not inner space. We've
done larger things, but not better things.
We've cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul.
We've conquered the atom, but not our prejudice. We
write more, but learn less. We plan more, but
accomplish less. We've learned to rush, but not to
wait. We build more computers to hold more
information, to produce more copies than ever, but
we communicate less and less.
These are the times of fast foods and slow
digestion, big men and small character, steep
profits and shallow relationships. These are the
days of two incomes but more divorce, fancier
houses, but broken homes. These are days of quick
trips, disposable diapers, throwaway morality, one
night stands, overweight bodies, and pills that do
everything from cheer, to quiet, to kill. It is a
time when there is much in the showroom window and
nothing in the stockroom. A time when technology can
bring this letter to you, and a time when you can
choose either to share this insight, or to just hit
delete.
Remember, spend some time with your loved ones,
because they are not going to be around forever.

Remember, say a kind word to someone who looks up to
you in awe, because that little person soon will
grow up and leave your side.
Remember, to give a warm hug to the one next to you,
because that is the only treasure you can give with
your heart and it doesn't cost a cent.
Remember, to say, "I love you" to your partner and
your loved ones, but most of all mean it. A kiss and
an embrace will mend hurt when it comes from deep
inside of you.
Remember to hold hands and cherish the moment for
someday that person will not be there again.
Give time to love, give time to speak, and give time
to share the precious thoughts in your mind.

AND ALWAYS REMEMBER:
Life is not measured by the number of breaths we
take, but by the moments that take our breath away...

To realize
The value of a sister
Ask someone
Who doesn't have one.

To realize
The value of ten years:
Ask a newly
Divorced couple.

To realize
The value of four years:
Ask a graduate.

To realize
The value of one year:
Ask a student who
Has failed a final exam.

To realize
The value of nine months:
Ask a mother who gave birth to a still born.

To realize
The value of one month:
Ask a mother
who has given birth to
A premature baby.

To realize
The value of one week:
Ask an editor of a weekly newspaper.

To realize
The value of one hour:
Ask the lovers who are waiting to Meet.

To realize
The value of one minute:
Ask a person
Who has missed the tra in, bus or plane.

To realize
The value of one-second:
Ask a person
Who has survived an accident...

To realize
The value of one millisecond:
Ask the person who has won a silver medal in the Olympics

Time waits for no one.

Treasure every moment you have.
You will treasure it even more when
you can share it with someone special.

To realize the value of a friend:
Lose one.

The origin of this letter is unknown,
But it brings good luck to everyone who passes it on.
Do not keep this letter.

Forward it to friends to whom you wish good luck

Peace love and prosperity to all

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take,
but by the moments that take our breath away

THE GREATEST PAIN IN LIFE

The greatest pain in life

is not to die,

but to be ignored.

To lose the person you love so much

to another who doesn't care at all.

To have someone you care so much about

throw a party...

and not tell you about it.

When your favorite person on earth

neglects to invite you to his graduation.

To have people think that you don't care.

The greatest pain in life,

is not to die,

but to be forgotten.

To be left in the dust after another's great
achievement.

To never get a call from a friend,

just saying "hi".

When you show someone your innermost thoughts

and they laugh in your face.

For friends to always be

too busy to console you

when you need someone to lift your spirits.

When it seems like the only person who cares about
you,

is you.

Life is full of pain,

but does it ever get better?

Will people ever care about each other,

and make time for those who are in need

Each of us has a part to play

in this great show we call life.

Each of us has a duty to mankind

to tell our friends we love them.

If you do not care about your friends

you will not be punished.

You will simply be ignored...

forgotten...

as you have done to others.

*This poem was written by a young girl who committed
suicide three

years ago. Perhaps if the people surrounding her had
shown a little

more love, and had paid more attention to her, her
death could have

been prevented. Remember that when going through life,
you can't

judge a sad, lonely, or suicidal person by their
facial _expression.

You need to get to know each person you come in
contact with, cherish

your friendship with them, and show them that you
care.

I just realized that I love blogging. I've joined few blog sites like tabulas, blog-city and this one emo-blog. I like it here. Tabulas is also great but they came up with new version and everything's change, it's like you have to put something like a requirement before you make your own template. And now the server's down and we can't even logged in. Every blog sites have their own differences regarding features about their site. I love it. grin.gif

Things You Ought To Know About People

People are often unreasonable,
Illogical, and self-centered;
Forgive them anyway.

If you are kind, people may
Accuse you of being selfish,
And having ulterior motives;
Be kind anyway.

If you are successful, you
Will win some false friends
And some true enemies;
Succeed anyway.

What you spend
Years building,
Someone may try
To destroy overnight;
Build anyway.

If you are honest and
Frank, people may
Cheat you
Be honest and Frank
Anyway.

The good you do today,
People will often forget
tomorrow.;
Do good anyway.

Give the world the
Best you have, and
It may never be enough;
Give the world the best
You have anyway.

If you find serenity
And happiness, they
May be jealous.
Be happy anyway.

You see, in the final
Analysis, it's between
You and God;
It was never between you and them anyway.
