"I am the Good Shepherd" (John 10:11).

In today's Gospel Lesson, Jesus identifies Himself as the "Good
Shepherd." The "Good Shepherd is one who lays down His life for
His sheep" (Jn. 10:11).

Jesus is the Good Shepherd and we are the flock. And the most
beautiful thing about this relationship is that the Good Shepherd
has promised unconditionally, never to abandon us -- even after
years and years of all that snoring, so to speak. Even though we
may stray from the Good Shepherd, He remains with us and for us.
He keeps on calling us into an enduring union with Himself.
Follow Me is His standing invitation.

Reflection:

In the Scripture Jesus identifies Himself as the "Good Shepherd."
The Good Shepherd is one who lays down His life for His Sheep.
What I really like about this concept is that Jesus "the Good Shepherd"
will never abandon us. I'm part of the Good Shepherds flock and
Jesus has promised unconditional love, He will not abandon us.
I need that! It is so hard for me to believe that all the dumb stuff
that I have done in my life, all the wrong decisions, all the times
that I have not even thought about my God, Jesus is there for me,
and I promise He is there for you. He wants a relationship with us,
Jesus Christ laid down His life on the cross for us. As our Good
Shepherd He died for us. And through His death and resurrection
we will live forever. You see there is a difference in my life. I now
go to the Good Shepherd before I make decisions, and you know
something He is always there for me. God has a standing
invitation for you and me "Follow Me", TRY IT YOU'LL LIKE IT!

Prayer:

Oh Mighty Good Shepherd, thank you for Your unconditional love,
thank you for Your protection, thank you for being there. THANK YOU
GOD FOR BEING GOD. In Jesus Name Amen.

preacher31 WHAT HOPE DO I HAVE TO FACE EVIL? 1/19/2011 05:56 - Subscribe

God will guard you from the evil one

Scripture:

In the year that King Uzziah died,
I saw the Lord. He was seated on
a lofty throne, and the train of his
robe filled the Temple. Hovering
around him were mighty seraphim,
each with six wings.…In a great
chorus they sang, "Holy, holy,
holy is the Lord Almighty! The
whole earth is filled with his glory!"
Isaiah 6:1-4 NLT

Reflection:

Lead on, O King eternal,
Till sin's fierce war shall cease,
And holiness shall whisper
The sweet amen of peace.
For not with swords' loud clashing,
Nor roll of stirring drums,
With deeds of love and mercy
The heavenly kingdom comes.
Ernest Warburton Shurtleff

The day of march has come

In 1887, Ernest Shurtleff was
about to graduate from Andover
Seminary. Ernest wrote a hymn
for the entire graduating class to
sing. He told his fellow seminarians,
"We've been spending days of
preparation here at seminary.
Now the day of march has come,
and we must go out to follow the
leadership of the King of kings,
to conquer the world under His
banner."

Thus, "Lead On, O King Eternal"
was written for a seminary graduating
class. Our commencements are not
always so dramatic, but there is no
reason our eternal King cannot open
a new door for us today. We can step
out and march under His banner,
"not with fears, for gladness breaks
like morning where'er [His] face appears."

preacher31 WALK WITH GOD! 1/22/2011 11:40 - Subscribe
Scripture:

Micah 6:8 (New International Version, ©2010)

8 He has shown you, O mortal, what is good.
And what does the LORD require of you?
To act justly and to love mercy
and to walk humbly[a] with your God.

Reflection:

Walking with God is not an easy thing to do.
When you walk with God it can be the most
challenging, most confusing, most amazing,
most intense, most powerful thing you can
do. You know why? Because you're not in
control of it, but at the same you get to make
decisions. It's like coming to a fork in the
road, do you go left or right? I think I'm
going left. Well if you ask God and He
says, " Let's go left," you walk left. But
at the same time you don't know what's
going to happen when you walk that
direction. The difference is you are now
walking with God, and He knows what's
going to happen. AND HE IS THERE
FOR YOU!

THEN, FOR BEST RESULTS "WALK
WITH GOD!

preacher31 RECALL NOTICE 1/25/2011 07:49 - Subscribe
Subject: Recall Notice

Never heard it put quite like this before

RECALL NOTICE:

The Maker of all human beings (GOD) is
recalling all units manufactured, regardless
of make or year, due to a serious defect in
the primary and central component of the
heart.
This is due to a malfunction in the original
prototype units code named Adam and Eve,
resulting in the reproduction of the same
defect in all subsequent units.
This defect has been technically termed
"Sub-sequential Internal Non-Morality," or
more commonly known as S.I.N., as it is
primarily expressed.

Some of the symptoms include:
1. Loss of direction
2. Foul vocal emissions
3. Amnesia of origin
4. Lack of peace and joy
5. Selfish or violent behavior
6. Depression or confusion in the mental
component
7. Fearfulness
8. Idolatry
9. Rebellion

The Manufacturer, who is neither liable nor
fault for this defect, is providing factory-
authorized repair and service free
of charge to correct this defect.

The Repair Technician, JESUS, has most
generously offered to bear the entire burden of the
staggering cost of these repairs. There is no
additional fee required. The number to call for repair
in all areas is:
P-R-A-Y-E-R.
Once connected, please upload your burden of SIN
through the REPENTANCE procedure.
Next, download ATONEMENT from the Repair
Technician,Jesus, into the heart component.

No matter how big or small the SIN defect is,
Jesus will replace it with:
1. Love
2. Joy
3. Peace
4. Patience
5. Kindness
6. Goodness
7. Faithfulness
8. Gentleness
9. Self control

Please see the operating manual, the B.I.B.L.E.
(Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth) for
further details on the use of these fixes.

WARNING: Continuing to operate the human
being unit without correction voids any
manufacturer warranties, exposing the
unit to dangers and problems too numerous
to list and will result in the human unit being
permanently impounded. For free emergency
service, call on Jesus.

DANGER: The human being units not
responding to this recall action will have to
be scrapped in the furnace. The SIN defect
will not be permitted to enter Heaven so as
to prevent contamination of that facility.

Thank you for your attention!

GOD

P.S. Please assist where possible by
notifying others of this important recall notice,
and you may contact the Father any time by
'Knee mail'!
