Mood: drowsy
complex humanity hatching
from its afterbirth cocoon
of substances mother can not contribute
inside her womb: inhibition,
the stitches of retreat conditioned
through the naive tresses of a girl,
sober ambition, the dreamless sedation
while the world cuts out her heart
in the name of research,
fear, the favorite lesson of death
and its demons, through generations
expanding, so that the soul never lives
And the human lies
writhing in the afterbirth cocoon
of distraught immortality--
I am one poet's muse--
Goethe is my psyche--
Dante is my soul mate--
Music is language sublime--
Trees are my best friends--
A drop of water can be my Adriatic--
A pillowcase can become my society--
I am the object of my photography--
Fatherless scenes--
Mother is mad--
I tried to kill myself but could not--
I was just a girl then--
I am glad I failed--
Sometimes tormented in my situation, I am now, even so--
But BEYOND I know joy: L I F E--
I am one who savors--
Life is beautiful, c'est?
