New background

After spending about an hour trying to change the text color, I gave up and spent an hour today getting this background in the template.
Either way, today was a good day. I got a 76/80 on my history test. I would have liked to have broken 100 so I could dramatically raise my average, but I should be really happy that I did this well, so I will be.
I got a new CD today by a band called Strung Out. They're a fairly decent punk band in my opinion. Much better than most bands on the radio. Well, that's all for today, I guess.

That history test...

...was the single hardest test I have ever taken in my life. 20 of the questions were review from the first semester and I forgot all of that. Also, even though I read 5 chapters for the history test, it didn't help me, because I couldn't remember the names of the people and what they did. Either way, I get 10 extra points for doing a test review and we have a 17 point curve, so that's 27 extra points on the test. (That's out of 80 because there were 80 problems, so that's even better.)
Either way, today was a pretty good day. It's been rather cold and rainy...but I don't let that get me down usually, and it doesn't bother me today either. I guess I don't have much to write today, maybe tomorrow will be more exciting.

...so I'll keep it short. I want to keep this background, but I can't figure out how to change the color of the text. I guess I don't have much of a choice but to learn HTML, so that's what I'll be doing tomorrow morning hopefully.

Skip Day

Mood: oddly in a good mood
Everyone needs a day off once in a while. My day is tomorrow.
I'm cramming for a history exam (I know, really interesting, right?) that's tomorrow, but I'm not going to school to avoid taking it. I have 5 chapters to read by Monday, about 150 pages of textbook goodness. Now that I've read a chapter, I can tell you everything you didn't want to know about the settling of the American west.
Anyway, all this work is really cutting into my free time, including my blog time, so I may not be on here quite as often. It's quite sad, because I enjoy blogging and find it's a good form of self-expression, in a way. I can rant and rave for hours about anything and there will always be somebody to leave a nice comment about it.

More about the shells...

Mood: somewhat on the cruel side
Now it's been 3 days since I gathered those shells, and I think a few of them were alive. I'm not sure now because I think they died between then and now because I assumed they were dead and they've now been out of the water for 3 days.
Anyway, I cracked one open to see if it was alive, and I'm not sure if it was or not then, but it's dead now. I looked at the clam's inner structures and it's pretty cool. I really wish I could find the camera. There's like some yellow goo stuff in there and I poked it and it felt like silly putty.
I still feel bad about it because I may have killed that clam. Either way, the deed is over and done with, and I learned what the inside of a clam looks like.
