Has secularism affected religious institutions?
Visiting London, I saw big churches turned into literary museums or music theaters. As a daily Mass goer, I attended Catholic services in a big church only to find a handful of devotees, just enough to fill a single pew.
Should I blame secularism? Or is it the spiritual awareness in which people look for religious experience in life, not the afterlife.
Sermons on sanctifying grace, sin, redemption and heaven after death strike me with their irrelevance. Religiosity needs to be rooted in man's physical and social life.
