Mood: sore
musical chaos: Dead Poetic

It's saturday night and its almost 2am, what better have I to do than come in here and babble?

I worked today from 2-8pm and I am sore as hell. If you dont know why I am physically hurting then IM me sometime and i'll tell you about it. Great stuff. Anyhow work was busy so it went by fast, got home, went to lindsays to watch fight club and here I am at almost 2am, drinking dew.

In two days i will be back in the studio at Jocko's to begin laying down guitar tracking with kyle and probably Alec. It will be supreme rock and then an enema. Seriously. Oya i got my ticket to the Less Than Jake show april 29th in Rochester, so i'm pretty excited about that. Some guy talked to me at work and told me about a good show tommorow night in Liverpool with Spitalfield and Hey Mercedes, which would rule to see but i have to work 3-7 tommorow then i'm not gonna wanna be out late when i'm still trying to get over the plague.

The Saaa website is down on account of the fact that "cool free web server hosts" decided to become "greedy corporate money swimmers." And we are poor and so is Lunchbox our webmaster, so i guess this EmoBlog and the purevolume site will do for now. Check our profiles for show listings, trust me they are updated a lot more than we actually ever updated the website anyhow.

Listening to:

Dead Poetic - new CD
Coheed and Cambria - In keeping secrets...
Pop Punk Loves You Too - compilation
Punk Goes Acoustic - compilation
Normal Like You - older EP
Adelphi - Don't Pass Go

lots of other stuff too but i'm tired and i'm losing it...

Night.

IT HAS COME!!

Mood: anxious
musical chaos: hate to say it, but Saaa is the music for me today

I'll start with last night. Last night kicked major ass, we had a blast rocking out the Mardi Gras Ball at the high school... I couldn't believe how much everybody got into the show. We played awesome and went nuts, despite the fact that I am still getting over this damn sickness. Went to Bernardi's house afterwards for poker w/ Josh, Dusart, Bernrdi, Leah and Beth. I won the tournament for 10 bucks.

Today was a fantastic experience. Woke up at 9 from falling asleep at 4 (which sucked), picked up Josh and went down to Mark Bengston's house down in Homer to get a piece for Josh's drum set but only found part of it. Bummer. We came back up to my house (after wasting all that time driving) and were trying to find people w/ drum sets that coulds possibly match Josh's so we could get the piece. Tracy came to our quazi-rescue, as she had something that we made do with but wasn't the exact piece we needed. Got to Jocko's house at about 12:30, spent a couple hours just getting the best drum tones we could and setting up all of the mics around the set. Josh looked like a king on his thrown. He was surrounded by nothing bu fancy plastic, brass symbols, and microphones. And we busted our ass all day and evening tracking drums and scratch guitars/vocals for the full length. We had a ton of fun during the process tho.

For those of you who don't know Jocko, Jocko recorded our first EP back in the 2001-2002 era of Saaa. He's amazingly talented at waht he does and he loves it. Funniest and coolest guy anyone can meet. And tonight, his girlfriend Cody drove to Boston to be one of the 4 ladies to try out to be the new gutiar player for Kittie. How rock is that?

Sometime in the middle of our tracking and goofiness Alec came and hung out for a bit and we all got Tai food. Interesting, but didn't settle in my stomach as well as an all-american pizza would have. Next time i'll know.

We left his house at 10:30 tonight. What a long-ass day. What a blast happy.gif

Up Next: Guitars

I'll update within 2 weeks to catch everybody up on the process of the full length, stay tuned...
