|I've just been to Youth Councils in Hobart. Over 100 youth there. A grrreat night! Well done to Simon & his team. (We're blessed with a teriffic bunch of youth & youth leaders at Carlton corps). I look forward to more Youth Councils on Sunday afternoon. I'm teaching on Colossians 3 later this morning at the Salvos.|
Here's a quote from page 145 of Heathen England a book Commissioner George Scott Railton wrote in 1877:
We are not and will not be made a sect. We are an army of soldiers of Christ, organized as perfectly as we have been able to accomplish, seeking no church status, avoiding as we would the plague every denominational rut, in order perpetually to reach more and more of those who lie outside every church boundary...
No one remains with us, or is likely to remain, whose sole object in life is not the attainment of the one purpose ever kept before the Army - the rescue from sin and hell of those who are farthest from God and from righteousness.
