Let Someone In

I smiled
I smiled all day
Except for when
I had to drive away
To collect my thoughts,
To collect my composure
After a good cry

I tried
I tried all day
I wore my false face
All day
This second method
I tried
After genuineness failed

I lured no one

I found a song I really like...from ::hides:: myspace. (BUT I LIKE AEONITY BETTER)
The band is "The Blow," and the song is, "Hock It."

Lyrics:
You're so slidey with your slender lines, I know you take the babies by the hand. And it's all fine …quot; all fine until you tug my time, that's how you put your fuel into demand. Chests ablaze with just the aiming of your gaze you can blink and watch the ladies take a fall. I recall the soft heat of when you left me in the street and I watched you walk on.

Hearts beat quicker when your eyes provide the liquor, it's enough to flood the bachelorette parties all the girls would throw, if they thought the groom would show - but they know that he won't. He's a punk, won't give it up. Hot looks but he can't touch.

The ex-citement is the chase. To catch your gaze is like a bird within the hand. It began so nice, but now I'm trapped inside, it seems this cage for me must be your plan. You mean tricks, like the wetness of your lips when you say, "just put your heart here in my hand.” And though I know you might hock it, I can't keep it in my pocket. I've tried, but I can't. Oh man.

I can see, and all the fellas they agree, that a boy like you is not to be trusted. But it's just so oh hot, it incinerates my thoughts, and I'm not really able to make it stop oh. Your hot staring, though it seems it could be caring, I know that it's me that you're gonna drop. But I oh don't unh care, I'm as happy half aware. Keep it there, hot eyes. Your teasin’ is the best prize.

velouria Cable....AGAIN Feb 7th, 2006 1:04:38 pm - Subscribe
Well, this morning I went outside and disconnected then reconnected the cable. I didn't see anything wrong with it, and the cable did not improve. I think the problem must be at the pole. However, the cable company insists that someone be at home when they come. If I cannot be there, why should a friend or family member be inconvenienced?
They seem to think that all the sudden, the cable under the house is bad...hmmm Everything was fine until they ran a new cable from my house to the pole! GRRRR

Google hands BMW its 'death sentence'

Google has handed out one of its most effective punishments to BMW amid allegations the German car manufacturer was abusing techniques for boosting its position in search engine results.

The search giant has wiped out BMW's Google ranking on its domestic website, effectively demoting its website's presence on the internet, although Google declined to comment on the precise reasons why this action was taken...

PHP SEO Programming Tips
by FrosT

Introduction
Figuring out how to do SEO or Search Engine Optimization with PHP is not an easy thing to do. In this article I will explain some great tactics to increase your SEO and hopefully in 6 months get you ranked high up there. This will all be done with PHP programming language running on an APACHE server. Sit back, grab a Mountain Dew and lets get to it.

.htaccess is your friend.
The .htaccess file for Apache is your biggest friend for this task. The way Aeonity Free Blog Community is setup is that almost any request to view a blog file is routed through a processing file. For isntance, http://www.aeonity.com/david is not a real page. Their is no truth to that url other than the Aeonity.com. How do we do it? Well with htaccess we filter out anything that is not a directory or a file. For instance the url above is not a directory, nor is it a file. After we filter those we check for a valid extension. If they contain that valid extension than we leave them alone. If the requested url does not meet any of those criteria, it is processed in a file that no one knows about.

Processing the requested url is not extremely difficult. The processing does take some time and thinking, but for the most part it is pretty straight forward. First things first, creating the file:

Process Requested URL
Now we have a requested URL, that does not exist. How do we create a file that does not exist? Simple, we parse the data. The example url, which was http://www.aeonity.com/david gives us certain data. For instance we know david is the username. That is all we need to provide the user with that particular blog. Let's parse it. In the process file we have to get variables from that url, in order to do that the requested URL must be parsed. We will split the requested URL at the "/". Put that into a variable for their username. Now let's pull the data.

How I do the next part is include the main file we are pulling up. In this case it woud be blog.php. I add the username to the $_GET data manually and then include blog.php. With that passing through our blog.php will work with eitherblog.php?user=david or http://www.aeonity.com/david . Using this technique your website can be completely dynamic and SEO friendly using PHP and Apache.

Ending Notes
This was a brief overview of how to make dynamic Search Engine Friendly URLs with .htaccess and a processing php page. With Apache, .htaccess, PHP and http://www.php.net/. You too can make your own dynamic Search Engine Friendly website.

velouria Comcast Cable Update Feb 3rd, 2006 4:31:41 pm - Subscribe
Well well well....guess what? I think when I was last speaking of the Comcast Saga, they had connected my cable, and the picture was full of static...that was Wednesday night. That same night, I called and talked to a man. He told me the first available appointment for a technician to come out was on Friday (3rd). I thought that was strange because the lady I spoke to before said Monday was the first available...but he explained that there are different repairmen for different problems. Finally, he said that he had me down for TOMORROW between 8AM-12PM. He said "tomorrow" although he had previously stated that Friday was the first opening. So, I got off the phone thinking, "ohhh...tomorrow! good!"
Well..."tomorrow" came, 12-noon came, but no cable man came!
I called and spoke to a woman...she said my appt was for tomorrow. I told her the man had said "tomorrow," so she gave me another 20 dollar credit. "I know I'm not crazy...you guys need to check your scheduling program or something!" She said she'd scheduled me for THAT afternoon (she changed my appt...moved it up from the 3rd to 2nd). I told her to go ahead and keep my other appt ALSO just in case I still needed them to come out again. Guess what! They did not come to my house yesterday. I called Comcast before I went home lastnight, and they said they had me scheduled for tomorrow. I gave up...just started laughing...felt totally cuckoo! I should have asked for another 20 dollar credit...but I was just too tired from the crazy cable week!

velouria Confounded Comcast Cable Calamity!!! Feb 1st, 2006 11:42:35 pm - Subscribe
Comcast is getting on my last nerve. Last Thursday, my cable was DISCONNECTED because I supposedly bounced a check (although I had PLENTY of money in my account at the time). I made an instant bank account transfer, and it went through (with no trouble I thought) and credited my account. Little did I know that I had transposed some numbers that their payment program did not pick up on...it processed the payment anyway!
No one every notified me that the payment did not go through. When I came home Thursday night, I discovered that my cable was out. I called and found out what had happened. I was charged twenty dollars for the NSF fee and was going to have to pay a forty dollar re-connection fee! I went down to Comcast's office and the nice lady waived both fees. I just had to repay my bill plus the next month's bill.
I would have to wait until Monday (four days later) before my cable would be reconnected. Monday came, and my cable was NOT reconnected. I called, complained, and received a twenty dollar credit. The lady told me, "I have you scheduled for tomorrow...if your cable's not connected tomorrow when you come home, call me and we'll give you another $20 credit, and we'll keep giving you $20 credits until they connect your cable." I was happy with that!
Guess what...I called Tuesday night (before leaving work) to make sure they had connected it...THEY HAD NOT!!!! I talked to the lady I had talked to before. She said that she remembered our conversation and that she rescheduled me for Feb 1st, not Jan 31. Although she had plainly told me that it was "tomorrow" which was Jan 31...and to call back "tomorrow" (Jan 31) if it was not connected.
I got nowhere with her...she would not budge. The conversation had been recorded, but they could not pull up a particular conversation, so I was stuck with only my word and her computer notes.
So...today, they DID connect my cable, BUT it's fuzzy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GRRRRRRRRRRR
I'm switching to the Dish Network or Direct TV!!!

I spent about 2 hours after work tonight working on a compilation CD for all my favorite Renaissance etc dance music. The CD was about seventy minutes. When I listened to it, pieces of it were all full of static and missing sections! Now I will have to make a NEW CD with only the "good" pieces and try to make a CD with the "bad" pieces. I will probably end up with three CDs...better than the 10 I have now. I hope it all works out tomorrow! argh

I feel like Emily Dickinson. I love having "alone" time.
I do not feel alone when I am alone, but when I am with others.
I tend to be a loner. I am a very independant woman but am dependant on others in some ways.
Why is it that when I get together with a group of people, I always feel like I don't fit in? I want to be more social; it's just difficult for me to do that!

The Soul selects her own Society -
Then - shuts the Door -
To her divine Majority -
Present no more -

Unmoved - she notes the Chariots - pausing -
At her low Gate -
Unmoved - an Emperor be kneeling
Upon her Mat -

I've known her - from an ample nation -
Choose One -
Then - close the Valves of her attention -
Like Stone -

New HighSpeed DSL Internet Connection Speeds Coming!
by FrosT

Introduction
Recently I have been having some issues with Qwest, a phone, tv and highspeed provider in my area. Until I called the other day and FINALLY got someone to explain to me what was going on. Well the nice lady cleared it all up for me and Qwest is on my sorta good side again. I say sorta because I hate the lack of information they gave me the past 8 times calling. It took 9 times for someone to clear up the situation to me. Horrible customer service if you ask me. Anyways despite their downfalls I am sticking with them, let me explain why.

$10 more for 7x the speed!
Yep for $10 more a month I get 7x my current DSL speed, well approximatley. Currently I have 1.5mbps down and 1mbps upload speed. How do I know for sure? DSL Reports which tells you how fast your current internet connection is. Well my new download speed will be 7mbps. Yes you heard me correctly, 7mbps for only $10 more a month! How awesome is that. Because of this deal I decided to stay with qwest a tad longer becase they give you awesome 1mbps upload speed instead of Comcast's 45KB/sec upload speed.

7x The HighSpeed Connection Speed!
How can you beat that? That is awesome I am soo stoked about the new HighSpeeds I will get by upgrading my current HighSpeed DSL Connection. Hopefully Qwest gets better customer service and does not screw up as bad as they did last time. Stupid Qwest. At anyrate I guess that makes me stupid for staying with them for my HighSpeed internet provider. I hope this next year of my HighSpeed internet works out better than last years. With the cancelation of my BlockBuster.com online rental I end up saving $5 a month for 7mbps MORE SPEEED!

New HighSpeed Connection New HDD?
Well it looks like I will need to get myself a bigger 300 GIG Harddrive for my new highspeed connection. As currently my 300 gigs is completely full! I am on the market for a new Harddrive for my awesome 7mbps HighSpeed DSL internet connection! If you find any deals or get credit for selling a 300gig Harddrive let me know. I may be willing to work with you! I will not be in the market till after the middle of February for a new 300 Gig harddrive to acompany my new HighSpeed DSL Internet Connection!!
