Question- How do you find a place of peaceful solace in an otherwise chaotic world?

Answer- Go on a Safari ride in Africa!

More specific, I found a site, WildEarth.tv on Justin.tv online. Having only one regular t.v. channel from satellite, the majority of watching shows stems from justin.tv itself or other similar sites online. The Super Bowl may even get streamed from this site (some with a password involved).
The safari guys go around in their jeep morning and night showing everyone the wildlife. In the long run, this kind of settles you down when you watch...for one reason, there's no snow there...just miles and miles of brush and greenery. The other plus is that it centers you into another reality. It's Africa, not something from Iraq or Washington or elsewhere. The animals, though on a reserve, don't have any cares like you or I. Nor do they have interests in money or ego's,etc. They just go from day to day living their lives surviving in an enviroment they've adapted to from beyond memory. They don't worry about where their next meal comes from; they hunt it. And they care for their offspring.
Without the hinderances of human economics, they will likely survive better after human cvilization itself falls.
So... they are far luckier to be animals than humans... we're all doomed as a species.
And Yellowstone is gonna blow 2..anytime now..it's possibly going to first stage alert status. Cool!

Here's something to listen to... a pirate radio station that's run by a kid outta ottawa... the crazy thing about this story is the flak of comments by everyone. Lots of people want him to go legal...here, an hour and a half away, I get this kids broadcast off the internet! The radio frequency in ottawa he runs is 91.9 f.m. and his dad set him up. Seems he's running the gauntlet on his own and has some opponents but ya gotta give this kid some credit for initiative! Despite his reluctance to quit, it's 2:23 in the morning here and he's online at the above Ustream. Comments for this will be closed..he's gotten enough flak already. He is only 14!
