Final Fantasy XII is the brand new edition to the longest running RPG series Final Fantasy. It features two orphan in a doomed country, a missing princess, a traitor captain, and two sky pirates. It is a good storyline with great transitions from one place to another. It has well placed events that slowly depict the story.
The characters are well made and have quirky connections with eachother. The main character is Vaan, an orphan in the city of Rabanastre in Dalmasca. He dedicates himself to "reclaiming Dalmascan property" from the invading Archadians. He eventually gets in over his head and is swept up into a fast paced adventure all over the world. Overall the characters are decent but not great.
The gameplay in this game is a little different that other games. It retains the same characteristics of previous Final Fantasy games, but adds the gambit. The gambit is an AI that is set by the player. The cause and effect of the gambits can be interchanged as the player sees fit. This game also has no random encounters, and instead uses a style of game that has all the enemies on the map when you enter. I give this game 5 stars.
