I was raised under extreme views and constant restraints. In some cases people like me turned into killers, others turned into Rock and Roll stars.
I stood up for what I believe 100% in the face of constant trial and minor persecution, mostly because I was so different, being from a cult and all.
Those were hard times, I grew up and one day I finally got an opinion of my own which they call bad apples spoiling the bunch. It has been difficult for me to build a new belief system, some might say it is weak or a cop out.
My strongest belief is in balance, that is my foundation now, that is my tao. Because everything that is bad must have good and everything that is, has the is not.
Everything in balance, isn't that what they taught in church/kingdom hall/cynagog /or whatever.
Everything in balance, Yin & Yang - two principles which oppose one another in their actions.
And Now some quotes to live by:
The most important human endeavor is the striving for morality in our actions. Our inner balance and even our very existence depend on it. Only morality in our actions can give beauty and dignity to life.
Albert Einstein
It is better to rise from life as from a banquet - neither thirsty nor drunken.
Aristotle
Enough is as good as a feast.
English Proverb
We may outrun
By violent swiftness
And lose by over-running.
William Shakespeare
To go beyond is as wrong as to fall short.
