Kamikaze Deer killing humans and new music from the wonderful “Brides of Kong”….

Radio Lutterworth 97.5 FM is proving very popular by all accounts and has very much appealed to a much younger audience than many current typical radio stations (at http://www.radiolutterworth.co.uk
The SRD Rock Radio Show is filling the 10 pm to midnight slots for Mondays and Thursdays for the current RSL running up to September 9th 2008.

Tom Lathom will continue to join me on Thursdays and there may be other contributors joining me on Mondays.
Just when you think you might be falling short of obscure topics to debate Tom “magicked up” some statistics regarding humans killed by deer! It appears that the deer are fighting back in terms of road traffic accidents and insurance companies are having to log data as it might be something of a phenomena.
Are the deer taking revenge? More below….

The question was -
******************************************************************************
"Why do so many deer kill humans?"
It's Kat, Darling! - Revenge lmao
grimsk8er - Because us humans are too dumb to wait for them to drive by when they go down the highway. DUH!!!!!
shiz_82_zle - What?
Badwolf - because we killed Bambi's mother
FRANK B - I've had them run by me on several occasions you can actually hear the power in them as they go past imagine hitting something like that in a car
thesmileyman - It's a right of passage in their gangs, it's tough getting respect as a deer, especially without big antlers, but killing a human is gonna get the other deer looking it a you in a whole new light.
BIGgourami - car crashes with them. A 500 (300Kg) pound ball of spikes and hooves comes through your wind shield at 50 MPH (80KmPH) you think you could survive?
Scott S - It is a secret Japanese project to destroy american vehicles so they can sell us more cars. Ever since they lost WW2, the Japanese have longed for revenge...and money! Now they have exported their kamikaze philosophy to our deer who, lacking the explosives know how to be suicide bombers, splat themselves on our windshields. The project is known as Operation GI Doe.
vcd - We are over populated! Hahahahahahaha get it?...cause we shoot/kill other animals due to them being over populated...I crack myself up!!!
aaj - When I was teaching in Zimbabwe a friend of mine had his parents (also from UK) over to visit. They were renting a car and driving at night down towards the border towards South Africa. Yes you can guess a Kudu (large antelope) jumped across and through their windscreen, impaling the lady. So proving its an INTERNATIONAL conspiracy.
Mooty - Because they can

Southern Rock and a quiet close to the Bank Holiday weekend……
Tom has wanted to do a “Country Rock” show for a little while so we hit upon an oft debated subject regarding the genre “Southern Rock” as being close enough. The debate was - “Is Southern Rock Racist?”
A late night stint on a Bank Holiday Monday is a great way to wind down with a chance to play some different types of Rock music including some new and unsigned artists mixed in with some more established artists perhaps choosing some lesser known tracks…..

Back after Sabbatical to Radio Lutterworth……
The return to Lutterworth is complete, the challenge is a big one, but from little acorns…..
A decision was made to depart from HFM as a consequence of unsubstantiated allegations (from the self appointed prosecutor, judge and jury!!) and a refusal to accept reasonable points of view and questions. It is difficult to continue when suspicions around integrity and honesty exist and there seems little desire to settle outstanding issues that remain. All I would say is I would no longer support anyone spending money in that direction, which is a disappointing way to end my association.

And so back to Radio Lutterworth 97.5 FM for the first time since 2006 (at http://www.radiolutterworth.co.uk

What are your thoughts about people who claim to have been abducted by Aliens?
Planet Rock is saved! Excellent news for Rock fans, a dedicated radio staion devoted to the religion that is ROCK!!!
As a celebration "Feel Good ROCK for the Summer" with a notable selection of some old, a good deal of new and frankly also some rather weird.....
Part 1 contained an extensive gig guide for the coming weekend and beyond. Theories on alien abduction were discussed in part 2.

You can still contribute on line to the Radio Marathon fund which has to date raised over £2000 to support Cancer Research UK at http://www.justgiving.com/hfm-24hour-radiothon
The Q posed for discussion this week provoked considerable response including some from those who were suggesting that they too had experienced alien encounters.
What is our view....? We just don't know...... (not that we worry about it too much…..)

More at the UFO Case Book about the case of Donna & Clayton Lee’s claims that we talked about as an example - http://ufocasebook.com/leeabduction.html
The question was -
******************************************************************************
" What are your thoughts about people who claim to have been abducted by Aliens?"
bearsmith90 - I was abducted by aliens. It was in north Ontario. I was partying with buddies. They said it was because I had done acid for two days but I know what’s out there man...
Scream - Me personally I do not believe it. I am a realist, therefore I believe only in facts. Those who suffer from sleep paralysis show strikingly similar similarities to those who claim alien abduction.
for example:
A painting by Henri Fuseli (1781) entitled the nightmare depicted a demon sitting upon a sleeping woman, now this we believe http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Fuseli_nightmare.jpg is a depiction of sleep paralysis - which is very common, I am sure even you have at some time in your life experienced this. Sleep paralysis is a common condition characterised by transient partial or total paralysis of skeletal muscles and areflexia that occurs upon awakening from sleep or less often while falling asleep. Stimuli such as touch or sound may terminate the episode, which usually has a duration of seconds to minutes. This condition may occur in normal subjects or be associated with narcolepsy, cataplexy, and hypnagogic hallucinations. The pathophysiology of this condition is closely related to the normal hypotonia that occur during REM sleep. When considered to be a disease, isolated sleep paralysis is classified as MeSH D020188.
Ok, got that, now take the human conditioning for extra-terestials for the last 60+ years - when did Orson Wells make his famous broadcast of the war of the worlds ? - I forget, yea, probably 60+ years ago, Oh, what a commotion then (spawned a film -or two - I believe)
Lads, it's all down to the psychology of the species in question. Or as Mr. Ike would say 'Lizards rule' - yea, right ? (Now he's a right knumbnut........................)
hammerhead - I actually met a woman who claimed she'd been abducted by aliens on her way to work in Castle Vale in Birmingham. Now Birmingham is the UK's second biggest city ans this woman and a work colleague claimed to have been abducted, but no one else in the city saw anything. As I'm sure you can imagine we all took the p*** out of her, but she stuck to her story and was adamant it happened. I do not believe for one minute that she was abducted by aliens, but I just can't work her out. She's a normal down to earth working class Brummie. Why would she want to make up such a ridiculous story????? Is she totally deluded??? I just don't know
xtaintedlovex - Wow, that would so extraordinary, yet EXCITING if aliens actually did exist!!!
I'd adopt one happy.gif No one can prove the existence of Aliens without proper PROOF... pictures/videos can be deceiving. I wouldn’t believe anything if I have not seen it with my two eyes, and also if several other people saw the same thing, ‘cos one person can be experiencing chemical activity in their brain as a result of low oxygen, BUT not a lot of people at the same time.x

LBJ - Attention seeking delusional psychologically challenged people. Come off it folks, there is no such thing as aliens, there are only unexplained events, no little green men, well apart from that thing in number 10. Imagination is a very powerful thing, however its the perception of reality that some have difficulty explaining.
Edit: you want to talk about conspiracy theories eh? Why don't you look at area 51, weather balloon or what?

Jaffa cake - I think we feel that we all need to be led and that we are turning our allegiences to a higher power, having lost our faith in our own religions and governments. Aspiration and desire are very important traits. It gives us a sense of belonging and a new evolutionary path in which we can follow. As we are approaching a stalling point on this planet.
Even government spin doctors are at a loss of what to do these days, to remain rich and powerful. They are still resorting to exploiting human weaknesses in order to cause trouble, which keeps the rich, rich.

Andrew M - Aliens, though I feel they may exist, have never seen or "abducted" humans because we haven't seen or "abducted" aliens. It just is not plausible and the people who say they have are just remembering a weird dream or looking for fifteen minutes of fame.
dumdum - Some may be telling the truth. In 2007, in December, I had quite an unsettling experience regarding a UFO but due to the amount of derision that I experienced from people. I no longer relate the details to any one.
Misty Blue - Would make a cool alibi. How could they disprove it? "I was being probed by aliens your honour". Lol Hi you two, did ye miss me? happy.gif x Swedith? :/
Prince Martin (aka Tank) - I think if an alien was to want to abduct anyone it would be a general, major scientist. I just don't think they are going to discover really good things from some farmer from Minnesota.
Bourne - I think they should buy alien-abduction insurance then.
Erudite#1 - I never ever believe them. What scares me is the people who believe them.
MARIA - have they been on something? magic mushrooms, drugs? Won’t believe it until it actually happens to me lol.
O.W.R. - They are either lying, or they're delusional.
Polonius - Hey!!! I am an Alien, and I just want to get one thing straight! I am fed up with reports that we abduct people. The people we do strange things to ask for it!!!!! beep beep
djc1175 - I would think they had been drinking $3.00 bottles of wine!
steph j - I fecking think they are completely fecking normal. Read that out live
Rikitikitavi - They did it for the anal probing
zwartschaap - they are nuts.
»¤●°кιωι gяáçỤ●°™ - They haven't got much between the ears! I'll say that much! = )

******************************************************************************
