My Blogs

starrylife Hello - Subscribe
Hello every Aeonity Blog users! This is NOT the first time I'm blogging online. My previous blog at Blogspot was abandoned.
I hope that I can blog every so often from now onwards but sad to say, there are just SO MANY things to do in life. I had stacks of homework to do everyday, and it's enough to kill me off.
Well...let me just introduce myself. Actually, this blog is not meant for MY personal use at first. I venture out to search for various blog hosters just to see if a prepared HTML code (for blogskin) can be used on other sites. Well, of course, I failed to find a suitable site (Yeah, even Aeonity can't accept the HTML. It seems like the HTML have some problems with it). So, I gave up finally right now. I decided to turn it into MY own PERSONAL blog. So ta-ta, Starrylife (That's me, my new nick) is born on her blog.
I'm a student studying in a secondary school (right now) in SINGAPORE. I led a hectic life...or maybe quite so. My world just revoloved around computer, television, friends, teachers and homework.
Should I say some more for right now? Will readers feel too bored looking at such a long piece of entry? I don't quite know.
Anyway, let me contiune. I like to draw comics. Currently, my not-official comic that I'm working on is "Memories" (Ok, it's NOT inspired by the song "Memory" from the musical CATS). So far...haha...the comic is already 2 years old, but it's still on its 1st book, chapter 4. It's not that I drew very slowly, it's just that I have not enough time to spare on my comics! As I said earlier, I led a hectic life.
Secondly, I like to compose MIDIs. I used the free software Anvil Studio, and I found it very user friendly and useful. i've really regretted not to backup my files earlier this year, because all my works are lost when my elder brother changed our Windows XP to Windows Vista Beta. Haix...SAD cry.gif
Okok, I guess I'll stop here for my introduction. Bye-byex!

starrylife Vegetarian VS Omnivores Jun 4th, 2007 4:02:43 am - Subscribe
This is just one funny scenerio that I thought of a few days ago: tounge.gif
Vegetarians: Ok, those who eat meat are CRUEL and species of animals are extinct nowadays because of the overhunting and over-eating of those animals!! angry.gif
Omnivores: Vegetarians are the MOST CRUEL one. Do you know why?
Vegetarians: Why?eep.gif
Omnivores: Because you Vegetarians eat veggies! And the most important thing on Earth are not animals, it is air! Oxygen! And where does oxygen comes from?
Vegetarians: From green plants that photosynthesize,of course!
Omnivores: Ha! So if everyone on Earth were vegetarians, then green plants are in danger. If all green plants were eaten (Well, the trees are in danger due to deforestation, which is already a big problem), then there'll be NOT MUCH oxygen left in the Earth's atmosphere! Then. doesn't it make vegetarians worse than omnivores? Vegetarians will be killing off the entire world's population just by eating more and more vegetables!
----------End of Scene-------------
So, that's why I decided to make this scenerio of mine on the web for all to decide: Who is actually more cruel and why? Or are both of them equally cruel?
Actually I feel that both are equally cruel in their own ways.
Omnivores who can eat meat are really letting some species of animals to be extinct or to be endangered. For example, the DoDo bird. It became extinct because hunters overhunted it for food.
Whereas, being vegetarians can minimise the harm made to the animal kingdom, as we do not harm the animals directly, that is killing it directly when it's still alive. However, vegetarians could actually be competing for food with animals that are herbivores. As majority wins, the animals (esp. wild animals) that only feed on plants may die of hunger.
Omnivores are said to be cruel because the way they kill the animals is cruel. Several animals locked up in a very small area. They are not being fed with food or water. Many die of hunger and thirst en route to slaughter.
So, vegetarians feel that at least they do not let the animals feel the pain of being killed, and thus not that cruel.
Ok, I'm a vegetarian myself. I feel that actually being a vegetarian has it cons too. For exmaple, many vitamins cannot be obtained from just vegetables. Luckily, I'm not a strict vegetarians, so at least I can get the 9 proteins from eggs, and nuts.
One of its pros is that...well, veggies contained not much fats (I mean non-saturated, which is healthier than saturated ones found in meat), and contain enough vitamins, so it's actually a very healthy diet.
Ha...I feel like I'm writing an argumentative essay. OH NO...how can my blog become an essay. No~!Hahax... okok, I shall stop my own opinons on this topic here now. Please do give your own comments on this topic too. I'll appreciate it. Please do ignore all my spelling mistakes, though. (Haha grin.gif )

starrylife Being Responsible Jun 4th, 2007 6:29:09 am - Subscribe
Ha...I know I had to be responsible when I blog. So that's why I'm going to tell all of you now that the midi that you hear now is NOT my work. (Hah...my standard is not that high yet) It's from a blogskin by wanyun, which can be found on Blogskins site. View the blogskin here.
Ha, so I don't have any mess with copyright laws now.
Oh, let me tell you about someone funny. Perhaps some of you are like that. I don't know. Well, the person...ok, claims that he has contributed to the household by cleaning the toilet, when he had only cleaned the toilet ONCE!
Well, it's a JOKE. He thinks that his ONE TIME contribution represents A MILLION contributions. Funny, right?
Okay, it's a COLD laugh. But it's enough to let us have a simple moral of the story:
BEING RESPONSIBLE IS NOT A ONE TIME ONLY JOB
Am I right or am I not? wink.gif

starrylife Farewell Jun 7th, 2007 5:13:41 am - Subscribe
Ok, I'm not blaffing you all (because I'm not a bluffing machine). I'm going to take a break (which I can't tell how long) from this blog. I'm going work on my other 2 blogs; they are the Monster And Clown Blog and the Eternal Lovers Blog.
They are not ordinary blogs...they are actually blogs of my story. That means "monster and clown blog" contains the full story "Monster And Clown" written by me, and "eternal lovers" contains the full story of "Eternal Lovers" written by me too.
One of my hobbies is writing. Ha..I know I write badly in school, that's why I must practice writtiing...and I chose to do it on the net. The Blog is public, so I had to be beware of all my grammar, spelling, sentence structure, subject-verb agreement etc. mistakes, and correct them. A good practice for me.
The bad thing is that I had to type, which means I don't have the opportunity to have a manual original script. AHX...nevermind! Heck care! Hahax...
So, I may be abandoning this blog for a while. Nevertheless, when I'm bored, and have an interesting topic to share, I'll definitely write it here, on Aeonity Blog.
So, goodbye!
