Having money is no big deal

Starrylife is feeling alive

I just heard this meaningful story from 93.3FM last night. The story goes like this...
******************
A rich man's car was leaking patrol while he was driving. It was leaking so fast that the rich man, dressed neatly and nicely, had to come out of the car and take a look at what was causing the patrol to leak. Then he knew the cause: The nail was loose. (Okay, I don't really know about cars, but that's basically the starting of the story)
The rich man wanted to repair it as soon as possible, but he did not know how, so he asked the passers-by if anyone could help him. No one moved at all.
Then the rich man took out a hundred dollar note and said that if anyone was willing to help him repair his car, he was willing to pay that guy that amount of money. Then, a teenage boy wanted to step out but was stopped by his friend who told him, "Friend, you should not help him just because you can get money in return!"
Then, after a short while, a little boy walked towards the rich man and helped him repaired the car in a few minutes. The man was about to hand the little boy the one hundred dollar note that he had promised earlier when a woman from the crowd said, "You really wanted to give that little boy a hundred dollars?"
The rich man thought that the woman was quite reasonable, and took out just five dollar and gave it to the little boy. However, the boy refused it by shooking his head. The rich man added another five dollar but the little boy still shook his head. The rich man got angry and said, "Do you want it or not? If you still don't want it, you can't even get a five dollars from me!"
The little boy shook his head again and said, "You're mistaken, Sir. My teacher told us that when we helped others, we ourselves do not expect any repays."
The people in the crowd were puzzled. The rich man finally asked, "Then why are you still standing here?"
The little boy answered, "I'm waiting for you to thank me."
*******END OF STORY********
It's meaningful, isn't it? grin.gif It taught us that money cannot be used to solve all problems and we should not crave for repays when we helped others, and most importantly, we should not forget our basic courtesy and we must remember to thank the people who had helped us in our life. happy.gif
