what measures the worth of a man? is it the fairness in which he deals. or the frequency in which he does the same? as of lately, lance armstrong has become my hero. he was diagnosed with testicular cancer and beat it, then came back and won the tour de france 7 times in a row. i posture that we are measured by how we rise up to bad things when they confront us. if we are diagnosed with a disease, we are judged by how we react to that diagnosis and usually, it is in that attitude that we can beat it.

she is the snow blanketing the rolling hills behind my secluded cabin. the mere thought evokes a heart-felt thought, "how'd this ever happen?" a view from the deep end of the perch cascading a mountain stream, my path torn asunder from a former life's dream. jennifer is my queen and i am her king. this fact absolves itself in my heart and nothing else means anything.

thefragile puscifer album review Jan 8th, 2009 12:46:52 am - Subscribe
Here’s a release that isn’t for everyone, but then it again, it doesn’t expect to be for everyone. “V” is for Viagra is a remix album of reinterpreted tracks from “V” is for Vagina by Puscifer. Puscifer is an industrial strength side-project for Maynard James Keenan from Tool and A Perfect Circle.

This album is a heavy-duty batch of music that sits away from the other cleansers because of its caustic ability to burn holes. These collected remixes are experimental in keeping with the nature of the original album and notable as they take what are already satisfying songs and reshape them into individualistic components, separately accessible but fitting the whole.

The remix artists here include noted members of industrial bands like Danny Lohner (NIN, Renholder), Joey Jordison (Slipknot), Paul Barker (Ministry, U.S.S.A.), Aaron Turner (ISIS), as well as remix artists like Lustmord, who supplies several for this collection.

“V” is for Viagara – The Remixes is filled with dark works. All are heavy war-pieces, sounding like approaching tanks in a smoke-choked killzone. If you’re a fan of the resurging industrial horde, then this album is a pulse-rising drug of choice.

since 3 January 2009, i have been nicotine free. haven't dipped skoal and this is a big deal. i am kicking the habit i swore i would always end up doing. i've quit 1000 times but this time, i have made it a long time. im starting to feel better and better. its almost been 5 days.

tonight, i got 3 NIN records. the 2 disc ghosts record, the year zero remixed, and the downward spiral. then to top it off, i bought a 1TB external harddrive to store all my music on... i only have about 310GB currently on my 500GB harddrive that i am selling to my friend, so now i have some breathing room for new records. tomorrow at noon, i have to drive back to cleveland to get a cavity filled. what a pain in the ass. but upon returning to johnson city, me and pete are going to see anberlin.

rock and roll.
