okie a quick one while i sip my frigging gay but cheap strawberry milkshake here at mac (hk $5 = s$0.90), cos every minute spent here is precious!
with only 3 days, and probably a month's worth of things to do, its rushrushrush everywhere. which suits the hongkong style of living pretty much. hahaha.
3 things i love abt hong kong, in order of merit:
-the food
-the shopping
-the girls
note that the weather lost out, even though i love it too. and girls came in third, cos my heart's been stolen and locked up back in singapore.
hahahaha. adios!:)
less than 24 hours til i depart vancouver once again, who knows how many years it'll be before i come back again. hopefully it will be sometime soon:(
the sad thing is that, every time we visit, we have to rethaw the ice that forms. even though we're supposed to be family. and most of the time, i dont recognise any of my cousins cos they grow up so fast and change so much in their developmental years.
emo emo. why must air tickets be so expensive?:(
thank god there's still facebook.
even though we cant be there and they cant be here, we can still keep in touch with random snippets of their lives.
:)

i officially declare my vancouver shopping spree OVER. feel so euphoric and shitty at the same time, after that much spending.
im not shopping in singapore for the next 3 months, man.
but then again, thats what i said the last time i went back to hong kong, where i helped boost my home country's gdp by my unrestrained consumerist tendencies.
oh well, this shall be a test of my resolve then.
shopped at downtown vancouver's famous robson street yesterday. mmm, i cant really compare it with singapore since nothing like it exists in singapore! its REALLY what a shopping experience should be like. a nice, cooling wintry breeze, whereupon u'll be greeted by the warmth of the stores once u step in. not to mention service standards thats a GAZILLION times better than singapore. seriously. service personnel who greet u warmly, like they really mean it, takes initiative to ask if you're doing fine, asks if u need another size or color while you're in e fitting room, tells u about e latest sales AND still smiles back at u even when u tell them the 5 items u tried on dont really suit you.
damn i cant even imagine why i even shop in singapore anymore.
before i forget, YES THE THINGS ARE ALSO CHEAPER OVER HERE. other than the food and public transport, just about everything here is cheaper than singapore. not much, but significant enough.
after every trip overseas, i realise how much i actually disdain life in singapore. this time isn't any different.
just that this time, i'm asking myself, what is keeping me in singapore.
apart from the fact that its ur birth country, you grew up there, and all that other patriotic talk,
what is keeping YOU in singapore?
food for thought.
more entries later! adios(:
ive never been so happy to see the sun come out in my whole life.
the first 2 days of my visit here, the weather was pretty cloudy, and dark clouds threatened to rain every afternoon. did i also mention tt it turns dark at 4 in the afternoon? so it seems like there's more night than day, which is bad when ur visiting and u wanna go out and see the sights.
so, when the sun started shining brightly again ytd, i jumped for joy. not literally la. but u can imagine. anyway, had a funfilled day on granville island, marred by the fact tt my lousy camera chose to run out of power at tt point in time. blehhhh.
i realise most of the chinese ppl who stay in vancouver are pretty good-looking. or maybe its jus because it reminds me of hk (in 4 days!), rather than the singaporean faces ive been seeing for so long. somehow, to me, even though we're all chinese, hk, sporeans, taiwanese, prcs, all look different. as in they all have different indescribable(?) characteristics or vibes.
anyway, singapore is missing out on ALOT since its only summer all year round. winter fashion is frigging AWESOME. its hard not to fall in love with the girl out there, with a cute snowhat, knee-high leather boots, a pretty cashmere sweater, a miniskirt and stockings.
and i seem to have a soft spot for blondes too:/
now, where's that renunciation of citizenship form?
TAG
xl: hahaha yeah we get lots of tt in camp. though most ppl jus swoon over whoever's on e cover page of 8days :X
limying: lol u'll probably need to buy a hundred jackets to prepare u for e cold! haha
van: yesyes ive already gotten u a souvenir. now, wat abt ur secretive fren?:)
lim: for a moment i tot u decided to name urself clinton. then i rmbed. hahaha! gd job! lol
the weather rockssssssssss!
its 8 degrees outside, and the weather's lovely. besides the occasional rain la.
my christmas wish (which wont come true) will be for the whole world to have this kinda weather. a cold singapore is almost unthinkable, really. singapore will be easier to like if i didnt sweat everytime i stepped out of the house.
anyways, shopping shopping shopping today. and its only part 1. i eagerly await my bank bill when i get back to singapore.
wooooots.
have i mentioned how cute my cousins are? love them to bits! apart from two of them, who are obnoxious buttfaces (my 8 year old cousin taught me that word, while giggling into my ear).
adios!:)
greetings from canada!
here i am, laughing at those currently in singapore, cos u all are either frigging hot, or frigging wet.
the weather here is a lovely 6 degrees right now, n im jus wearing a jacket on top of a short sleeved tshirt.
ohmygosh this weather is jus totally puuuuuuuuur-fect. perfect weather for timooo eskimooo! hahaha.
anyway, playing wif wifi at starbucks while im sipping my latte. or rather, ice latte. looking around, there's only 1 other person who's drinking sth cold. everyone else is sipping from their hot drinks in front of them. LOLLLLL. im quite determined to get more starbucks while im here cos an ice latte costs only 3plus, as compared to singapore's ripoff 5.50! screw u, starbucks singapore.
okay dun wanna drain my batt cos i need my wifi to survive this trip!
tata, adios!:)
