dear blog,
sorry ive been neglecting you so much, its just been so busy these few weeks after being released from that hellhole!
hahahaha.
anyway, i think starting a blog post with "dear blog" is pretty gay. its like "dear diary" but a million times worse; at least some diaries have thoughts and feelings (cue harry potter fans). hahaha.
anyway (again), im currently enjoying life as a civilian, enjoying my new work at my new workplace. suffice to say that its at a reputable banking establishment that has swanky new premises at changi business park, where im getting paid by the hour. the pay's not too bad, especially when you compare it with all the jobs recruitxpress tried to offer me.
screw you, recruitexpress.
for once, im enjoying my desk-bound job. probably because its a great working environment, i have fun colleagues, i have cool bosses, i have a shuttle bus at tampines, i dont hafta wake up at the crack of dawn anymore, the work's not too difficult without it being boring, there's interesting people to watch, etc etc etc.
an some observations ive made in the 1 week ive been at my new workplace:
-out of ten staff at the company, 7 are foreign indians, 3 are foreign ang mors, and the remaining 1 person is split into half a chinese and half a local indian.
-at the toilet when opening the doors, ang mors will hold the door for chinese and indians. the chinese will see whether its an angmor or indian coming before deciding whether to hold the door or not. the indians will just let the door go once they've entered/exited.
-indians use ALOT of sugar in their coffee.
-indians like to bring their own lunches.
-angmors like to arrive early and leave early. indians like to arrive late and leave early. chinese will arrive on time and leave once the angmors leave.
there's still more, but ive got stuff to do. so shall leave it til next time.
