today was the actual first day of school. as in actual school with lessons and stuff. NOT exams. and surprise surprise i cldnt wake up in the morning.. my eyes simply refused to open. haix it does take some time getting used to the brand new concept of school all over again. seemed so foreign to me after that 5 weeks of non-schooling. plus the fact that i was trying to make up for 4 weeks of holidays in the past 4 days. school feels distinctly weird. at least today is like the shortest day of the week. im telling myself "wake up! school's started!" once every few seconds just to get the message in my head that its not the holidays anymore. wake up!

timothy feels weird if he has to start writing in first-person form again after spending the past hour writing his top3 in thrid-person form. timothy had a good day today, though the day didnt start as well as he wanted it to. when he first reached school, he was told of 2 pieces of good bad news. very bad, actually. he was thinking about why he was so lousy as to get such ridiculous results, and whether he should start thinking of being a farmer in future. he wasnt really in the mood to talk either, with his mind so full of confusion about life and school and life. however, a nice game of soccer during pe quickly chased away the exam-result blues. even though his playing was sub-standard, it felt good to just move abit and get some oxygen to his brains. after school ended, he left to go get the ipod dock at bugis. that was then followed by lunch with jiejie at the crystal jade macau place. timothy ate the tong sum fan and then stole abit of jiejie's shrimp fried rice because the portion was too big for her. he thought the food was pretty average, for crystal jade's standard. jiejie had to go back after her lunch break so timothy decided to just walk around bugis for a while by himself. he bought 2 presents for the 2 people whose birthday will be coming soon, and took the mrt home. yes, he took the mrt. (actually he's been doing a lot more of that recently) jealousy inspires envy. envy engenders spite. spite spawns lies. back off, please. tag gloria sorry la! didnt know you were going that day til yoyo aunty told me on sat. :X yw okay okay then its just me being indecisive then. lol

okay another block update. sat notable event of the day: suppering at simpang with the church ppl. simply love the kebab with cheese. yummy. crap of the day: losing almost 2 bucks worth of coins cos it somehow dropped out from my pocket and i didnt know about it sun notable event of the day: going to orchard presbyterian for a meeting with their choir committee, followed by a short shop time before 518ing to tuition crap of the day: bearing with that horrible live earth segment on tv mobile on 518 for 45 minutes! mon notable event of the day: going back to tj and seeing all those friendly faces, lia, the fruit stall auntie, some other ppl i knew from my short stay there. oh and not forgetting the fabulicious fruit juice. oh and also shopping at century sq metro.. half-price storewide! crap of the day: walking from the back gate of tj to the front gate cos they now have turnstiles that only allow exiting and not entering tues notable event of the day: the trip to istana crap of the day: getting bitten by, what seemed to me, an aedes mosquito. white stripes on black body. urghhhh. wed notable event of the day: hmmm none actually. crap of the day: hmmm cant tink of one either. what a boring day. today notable event of the day: pretty mundane stuff. maybe i could count me being ahead of time for computing coursework as one. crap of the day: my right knee hurt throughout my 4.8 run. winces. tmr notable event of the day: who knows? every day brings a different surprise. who knows what tmr might bring? tag chris hmm actually in HP its "greatness" instead of "jealousy". ya but hardly anything ive done can be described as "greatness", so.. haha gloria that time i went hk i bought sth still havent give u lah. dunno where izit now :s i try dig out then give u as bday present k! haha naim sorry ah, my results super crap. farmer at least wont need to know so much stuff. lol khyrul can also. then i can save money on fertilisers. ahhhhhh

spent the bulk of yesterday at a bb course. one thing i like about going for bb courses is that it gives an opportunity for me to pass by town since its so strategically located. and oh boy. i wasnt planning to go shopping until bus 16 turned onto orchard road and passed by wisma, where i turned my head and just happened to see topman's large 1/2 price sale sign. oh boy. then saw this person reading the newspapers and she just happened to be on the page where river island had a full page SALE ad. oh boy. decided to go to raffles city first for river island. however, didnt see anything on sale which i liked. so i ended up shopping at esprit conveniently located just next to river island, which was also, conveniently, having a sale. yahoo. then went to topman at ms. this time, i got sick of the crowd there and shopped at zara instead. yahoo. funny how i end up shopping at the places that i werent planning to go, and how i bought nothing from the places i was planning to go. nothing beats retail therapy. yahoo.

i feel so bad sia. ive missed 3 people's birthday this month already, and that brings it to more than 10 people's birthday ive forgotten this year. boo :( so please please if i forgot to wish you happy birthday or anything, please please forgive me. obviously the reason is that i just simply cant rmb all the dates of everyone's bday, but then everyone says that its just an excuse. i mean, it'll be so much easier to rmb if your bday was on a day of a certain special occasion or sth. just like how i can still rmb pamela's bday is on national day, wenglun's bday is on christmas, jan's bday is on independence day, jaslyn's bday is on halloween and jiejie's bday is a day after april fools. if only everyone's bday was this easy to rmb. hah tag cs jus for old times sake. haha actually go look for a teacher to sign some cca stuff la. lol khyrul no la poor. im rich in my dreams. van huh got excuses meh. i was jus stating how i ended up shopping wad. heh gloria of course (: anyway im trying not to forget ur bday tmr. tries to set alarm clock in my head naim i wish ah. haha and i dun have psp like some people lor. heh

woke up this morning to sudden sharp jolts of pain. calves just cramp for no reason at all. could it be a premonition? anyway, it works much better than my alarm clock since i cant "snooze" the pain away. a level computing coursework is going pretty well, cos i'm still ahead of time. amazingly. though it does come with sacrifices, such as staying up til 12 plus yesterday to practice the coding. bro had piano exam today, and he thinks he's screwed it. as in, he didnt exactly say "i screwed it", but yeah, i surmised as much based on what mum said and his mood today. tried to be an encouraging brother today. how nice. napfa tmr. again. hurray. tag van oh? who the heck is van? looks wildly around khyrul haha i'll rmb that now! as long as they have live earth next year, i mean. :x heh bec what thing? i purposely timed it that way okayyy. hnh not appreciative at all :b naim haha ya i rmb now. sorry la my bad. heh

this post was originally meant for bitching about how today sucks and everything and how i yet again screwed up napfa. yes again. but then ive decided not to partly cos of something mum told me just now. the story begins this morning when, as i mentioned, i screwed up my napfa again. i think it was my fifth attempt this year already. so, the not-so-usual culprit to people's napfa downfall: sbj. usually for guys its the pullups, but my 7 pullups are useless now that i fail sbj. anyway. after lunch at parkway with the class, i was pondering about it on my bus ride home. all the time and energy i wasted cos i didnt pass it the very first time i took napfa this year, where i passed my sbj and screwed 2.4 (now its the other way around) getting angry with myself, angry with god. why hasnt all the training helped. why has god been saying "no" to me all this time. then something that mum said made me realize that actually god saying "no" to me all this while could actually be part of his plan for me. mum was telling me about how she's been praying for my napfa test, not to pray for me to pass, but to pray that whatever the outcome, it would be what god thinks is right for me. our view in life is restricted by our humanness, but we can trust ourselves to god, who has an unlimited view. we often only see a small part of things whereas actually god sees the whole picture. shall just end off with this verse from proverbs: "a man's heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps." i know this isnt really my typical kind of post, but i thought it was something worth blogging (and thinking) about.

harry potter day yesterday. i wasnt one of those who rushed bookstores at 7am cos i really dont believe in waking up so early on a nice rainy saturday morning (or any other morning either). nope no magic spell is gonna make me wake up that early. woke up at abt 9, then leisurely headed to white sands to pick up my book. the weather sort of reminded me of hong kong's climate, albeit abit warmer. i even contemplated walking to white sands but after a few steps it didnt feel cold enough for me to walk all the way there. still had to queue for awhile to collect the book, then camped at macs to read while i had my breakfast at the same time. went home jus before lunch, where i continued reading. anyway, on to the book. i guess it was pretty unexpected reading a happily-ever-after ending after all the months of rumours about how harry potter was gonna get killed off. but then again, im a sucker for happy endings, so im not too disappointed about it. haha. though i thought it was a pity that so many characters had to die, but then at least it fit into the storyline, so no complains either. its the best book out of the seven, i guess.

suddenly, i jolt awake. no, not another story again. something that happened this morning while i took 53 on my way to school. actually i confess i dont know much about it since i was sleeping while leaning against the railing, but it was pretty clear what happened the moment i opened my eyes after hearing the huge bang. for a moment i thought something exploded, but then it was actually some other bus that rammed us. luckily, the only lasting damage was that the side mirror of the bus was shattered and flattened. but the thing is that the other bus (some school bus or something) just sped away not evening caring what happened. in the words of the bus driver, who after letting out some malay expletives (i guess), said, "hit and run". and still singaporean drivers defend themselves and think they are so considerate. i bet if they all drive in the us they'll get shown the finger just about every minute. tag josh woah. so we shld have some 4h study session for u to teach us physics ah. haha khyrul i already citizen mar. haha no choice lor gloria hmm things cant go your way all the time wad. life is unfair sometimes. haha n y nv update ur blog anymore? :s bec haaaallo. please stop taking my words out of context can. haha clement dammit man. i'll never go back again either. xl thanks. haha no point crying over spilt milk now right. college day today. well it was pretty fun, cos yw and i were playing on our DSes, though there were a few glitches. not bad though, as compared to last year where i just stoned the whole way thru and did nothing. headed off to starbucks with some of the class ppl after that. chilled awhile. drank a sinful ice blended caramel with whipped cream. a run awaits :x met with the church ppl to bowl after that. achieved an all time low score of 82! hurray! (smiles sarcastically) joseph stormed to second place by hitting 3 strikes after hitting gutter balls the first 3 frames. adeh. some pro. oh anw ns medical yesterday. the place is actually much more organised than i thought, and there werent that many ppl around. spent alot of time at the blood lab, skipped the chest xrays, got lost in the colour blind test, felt damn sian after the super long computer test. shall go now. adios. tag xl oh icky oily rice. how wet. urgh :x gloria hmm so means cant see la :* anw he's too bored so he wants to start some gossip on me -.- u didnt give it to him rite. haha khyrul holiday camp? hmm but then he's a pe teacher leh. i tink our ideas of a 'holiday camp' could be different. lol
