an unproductive morning, a slightly more productive afternoon. woke up at an unearthly hour of 7.30, somehow when im allowed to sleep in late i cant and when i want to sleep later i hafta wake up early. darn. went to the gym after lunch, first visit since whoknowswhen, felt like crumpling up and dying at the end of the session. ahh. studied at white sands after that, so much more productive than lazing around at home. saw that girl i shared cab with last time there for the first time (since im sucha white sands library regular already, the storytelling lady might recognize me) arsenal/manpoo much starts soon, hafta watch it online since i cant go out and i dun have frigging cable anymore. the tension is simply unnerving. ahhhhh tag chris that's not good. u write better than me, meaning i'll get marked down more! :/ cl what thing? i cant see anything!! or am i not looking hard enough. hmm van/xl wow u took my suggestion seriously huh. haha xl hmm. that sounds sooo true. weijie oh yes! van ur reason isnt convincing at all! come on, you can do better than that. heh

the arsenal manpoo game was nerve-wracking. last season's arsenal would simply have died if manpoo scored in the 83rd minute against them, but this season's arsenal is different. fighting spirit, and playing ugly football when its really necessary when playing against ugly opponents. the last goal was like, ohmygosh. the ball went over and then everyone was looking at the referee and linesman to see whether they would give it. and they rightly did so. sigh of relief. anyway it was dumb watching it online. lagging like shit, meant that i got to hear the cheers from the mats downstairs before i could actually see what was happening. and they're manpoo fans, cos when manpoo scored they'll shout "goal" while when arsenal scored they'll jus "ahhhhhh" away. interesting neighbours i have, huh. the 2 other manpoo fans in my house (dad and bro) arent that happy about the draw either. well, im happy. bumped into derricksoh at white sands this morning after his everyone's chem paper. met tangy too. judging from what i heard, chem wasnt that "ownable". lucky im a frigging computing student (: tag cl hmm mayb cos i only go to white sands for the library while u go shopping around with V! haha cs ppstream. didnt know i had to turn on chinese software and i was trying to trial-and-error all the different stations! :/

i was thinking on my way home just now about what path lies ahead. and after browsing thru nus' & smu's sites jus now, i realise that maths will probably still stick with me til my U days are over. unless i can get admitted to my first choice course, which looks quite impossible. and i was thinking that psychology (not psychiatry) might be interesting too. after, it'll be so interesting to learn about human behaviour and what makes people tick the way they are. philosophy seemed pretty interesting too, but it seems that the career paths for that are limited. anyway i was pretty amazed that what happened in the opposite block last night failed to make the newspapers, considering some of the trash they put. a loud boom shook the quiet, quaint neighbourhood last night. this sedan had knocked over the metal railings and plunged down one storey, landing upright at the void deck where i sometimes play soccer with my bro. and singaporeans, instead of shying away from danger, flock to see what happened, even as the petrol leaked from the car. they probably didnt realise what a risk they were taking, since the car could have exploded any moment. but luckily it didnt. no one was seriously injured, jus in a state of shock. the cops came, the firemen came, the paramedics came. 1 hour later, everything was back to its normal quiet state. dont you ever yearn for more excitement instability in your life? isn't life oh so mundane? at least my life in dreamland isnt that boring.

the break is making me crazy. i mean, what are they playing at, spacing 2 papers apart 5 days and then bombarding us with 3 papers in a row? (4 for those who take chem. phew.) im not even in the mood to even touch my econs notes anymore. reading about inflation and unemployment and trade deficits and devaluation is depressing. so, some retail therapy. okay, not exactly retail therapy per se. actually calling it retail therapy is abit of stretching the truth, cos it wasnt much retail though it was pretty therapeutic. went book shopping at borders. please don't roll your eyes at me. books have been a part of my life since i learnt how to read, and i get as much pleasure shopping for clothes as i get shopping for books. i know its weird but, hey, im someone who doesnt shiver in a room at 17degrees celsius. im sure that's weirder right. anyway, i went cos of their 35% discount (last day is tmr!) to celebrate their whateveryear's anniversary. obviously, it was pretty difficult smuggling 9 books home since i cldnt let the higher authorities get wind of my little adventure. but i managed it! customs better watch out the next time i come back from wherever with stashes of dvds and stuff. even the sight of town cheered me up, and this cheery mood sustained me through a fun-filled afternoon of econs. see? you can barely catch the sarcasm in there. to top the day off, i waved to a little girl as she got off the lift and she cutely smiled back at me as she waved back. man, my heart jus melted there and then. what i would give to see more innocent smiles like that rather than the pretentious and falsely cheery smiles all around us everyday. shall go now. adios(: tag weijie haix. there'll always be manpoo supporters around.. but without them, who are we gonna hate? haha chris hmm at least ur not the only one who feels like that. jiayou! clement but man poo rhymes! and its quite logical too. haha cant enjoy computing la, we end 3 days after u chem ppl! :(

in hindsight, econs yesterday was pretty screwed up. while i was studying for today's econs yesterday night, i realized that i made 3 grievous errors in each of my 3 essays. tragic shite, man. econs today was pretty screwed too. hated the 10 mark questions. urghhh. on the bright side, there's jus 2 papers left. 2 papers in 9 days is a waste of time though, they should jus put it tmr and on fri and save me a week. tag khyrul sure. u neednt have asked haha.

studied at compass point today, cos some people dun wanna leave their nest. haha but frankly im grateful for the company. its nuts having 5 days to study for physics mcq, and its nice to talk to someone human. plus i was getting sick of bedok and white sands anyway. so there we were after lunch, tangy and i studying, mei on her pink psp (snort) and trev on his white psp (double snort). i see practically 20 psps everytime i go out, and those 2 jus hafta hop onto the bandwagon. anw it was pretty distracting. seriously. like i kept sneaking peeks at both their screens while trying to do my physics mcq :/ tag van im afraid i dont. even though, i suppose, as a capri, i shld love anything thats even.... naim haha okay hope to hear from u soon

i dunno which song title describes my feelings now more.. kelly clarkson's never again or daughtry's it's not over. never again cos physics is over and im never again gonna touch it or have anything to do with it. confirm. im damn sure im not taking any course that's gonna have anything to do with physics in uni. it's not over cos, well, it's not over. for me. nor the bio or h3 ppl. yet. all the lucky pcme people (which is about 50% of the entire population) are done, out there having fun (probably). exactly 2 years and 1 day ago, the Os were over. 3 more days til i can say the friggin As are over. tag gloria its 3 days now. counting day already haha. anw yeah you all will win.... in your dreams :) bec wasnt referring to you! was talking about tangy and trev :D heh kidding la (:

i sorta took a break today. not really a break since ive got my computing paper on friday, but jus a short rest. went to lions for lamb. and it was pretty boring. expect loads of yawns and political stuff. i mean, even the presence of tom cruise hardly made it any better oh well, beggars cant choose. chilled with them for awhile at macs before heading home. i realise ive been having sleepless nights not because im nervous about the exams, but cos i was am full of anticipation over my post-exam activities. urgh that is so not right. its really hard to concentrate on studying when you keep thinking about everyone else who is out there celebrating. patience is so hard to find when you need it the most. i can hardly wait for these 2 days to be over.

had the interchurch street soccer comp ytd. and for all our confi-ness, we got owned humbled by the other churches. the team i played in got 3rd while the other team got 5th. but that was only cos they faced tougher opposition. and i realise i cant play soccer properly anymore. and im getting more prone to injuries and fatigue. and i cant save penalties for nuts. and i cant shoot for nuts either. that jus about sums up my performance ytd. but anyway it was nice getting tgt with the other churches youths lah. though of course it would have been better if we won, but winning isnt everything. and i didnt get to bridge cos none of us brought cards! shit man. tag khyrul really, im sure no one wants the tys of someone who consistently fails physics. haha tho its pretty new la van ya im sure it was nice. mayb we can specially arrange for him to sit nxt to u during prom! xl yay! chris haha the only im confident about is i wont ever be touching physics ever again. heh weijie hmmm see how first. haha and not violent lor, cant compare wif joel chan and his parang :x bec' im jus so full of surprises arent i? smirks back van how can anyone ever get bored of playing? mus be withdrawal symptoms after studying for too long... gloria oops. i didnt see this in time!

attended a certain relative's wedding dinner at oriental mandarin ytd evening, quite interesting since i havent been to a wedding dinner for quite some time. of course, me limping around was quite a setback, but i decided to jus ignore the stabbing sensation in my foot and pretend to jus walk slowly (even slower than my usual already-slow pace) oh, and the server at my table was actually a student. super cute sia! there was this dish (which wasnt to my liking) where there's this deep-fried mantou which is supposed to be dipped in chilli crab meat sauce. so she was trying to use a fork and spoon as a pair of tongs, like to clamp the mantou onto the plate. then it keep slipping cos its like super difficult (try it if you dont believe). so one lady at my table was like telling her that we didnt mind if she jus used the spoon to scoop the mantou out, then she was like, "erm..we're supposed to do it like this...", so the lady told her that we (the table) wont tell the manager or anything. then she was like quite embarassed, but decided to jus scoop them instead. so cute! i tried my best not to sneak too many glances at her :/ watched fred claus today. quite a light-hearted show that has a lesson behind it, but it wasnt as funny or nice as i expected. not exactly worth the money. supposed to watch stardust, but it wasnt showing at night, and some people didnt wanna watch enchanted cos she had already watched it. i rejected beowolf and hero (and i get called picky) so it was left with fred claus and the kingdom. on hindsight, maybe the kingdom might have been more worth it. we smuggled in a 6pack vitasoy + lays + ruffles, all hidden inside a bag and a jacket. hurray. now that ive devoured almost a packet of ruffles, i need to run it off. but im injured! what lousy timing. tag gloria hmmm. when the nxt time u coming over? or u specially got one day go play bridge. lol van i havent visited our lovely lib since As ended! mus go back and hog the seat ;/ van theres a mark you leave, like a love heart carved on a tree... continues. betcha didnt know that line!

hello worthless, miss me? watched cinderella-sleeping-beauty-snow-white yesterday. otherwise known as enchanted. quite a nice show, about ten times better than fred claus in terms of storyline, characters, feelgood factor, humour, animation, acting ..... you get the drift. its just better. quite lucky that the time we were watching the movie was when the heavy downpour was, so that by the time we came out it wasnt all that wet anymore outside. played lan ytd afternoon for the first time since who-knows-when. ya and obviously i got pwned big time. but hey, that's forgivable right. roamed simlim square today to look for parts to upgrade my frail aging com. walked out $180 poorer. as the holiday season begins, its inevitable that my wallet gets lighter and lighter, and trips to that gray machine with a numpad and card slot get more frequent, and you find yourself saying "by nets" more often in shops. holidays blues. well, rather this than mugging. and so, they all lived happily ever after tag gloria im free everyday. almost lah. haha khyrul freakin pes F freak. urghhhh :/ van wrong lah! capris know everything even if its in 3 star list! :) bec' the waitress too cute i got no appetite for anything else! hahahahah :)
