ive been studying at this new place i discovered recently. my void deck. or rather, the void deck of the opposite block.. since my void deck is totally void (pun!). anyway, its a pretty quiet place, nice benches that arent uncomfortable but will guarantee that you cant fall asleep, a wall fan, table. nice and clean, thanks to those nice bangla workers around. speaking of which, i think singapore should have this holiday to commemorate the work of banglas. i mean, they're all around us, making singapore a better place to live in. cleaning the void decks, building overhead bridges, washing the toilets, etc. without them, i wont be able to get the newspapers on my doorstep every morning, i cant step into the lifts without feeling like puking, and i cant study at the void deck. so next time you see one of the friendly bangla workers, think of all they've done for you and say a nice "thank you". after all, they need to feel appreciated too. anyway, didnt study much today. brunch in the morning with qweeeeks, followed by a swim, then some gym time. yawns. i'll probably be here in 2 weeks time, writing about the end of prelims. i'm already so looking forward to it. tag khyrul welcome to clerks united! cl they nv give reason leh. just like that lor. but prob cos of my operation

and its that time of the year again where i fall sick. happens almost during every exam. stress? nah. more like worry. i think if the prelims are pushed back one week, i'll do much better cos i'll have 7 more days to study. but then, that will mean the exams will end 7 days later, according to the law of cumulative postponement. and that's dumb. so hopefully i'll be able to ride the waves and land somewhere on the sandy shore. tag khyrul what a bastard. ha nvm u go out to work earlier earn more can belanja us lunch nxt time cl mixed feelings la. haha good luck to u too chris i was thinking that one extra public holiday wldnt hurt. haha

so that's 2 papers down and 7 more to go. okay computing was bearable. a D would be nice. i bombed physics. even though it was totally easy. friggin contradiction, isn't it? physics is so foreign to me. went in search of comfort food at the airport after the physics paper, trying to bring back some happy times, times when schooling wasnt stressful, times when studying wasnt totally crap, times when i were happy happier. now its time to go, maths and econs tmr i wont forgive myself if i screw those up. adios

hello remedials, byebye prelims. prelims ended today, with non other than my favourite physics paper. there's no doubt that i'm gonna fail physics though, which means ive chalked up my first (and hopefully my last) S. physics is so crappy. why the hell did i take it in the first place man. i knew that A2 for Os was just a decoy so that i'll get lured into the trap of studying a science subject again, and now here i am caught in the quicksand. and sinking fast. stupid. i just hope the prelims aren't full of SEEDs like the past 2 common tests. when i saw the remedial schedule today, i was like, wow, they've scheduled me to come back to school for almost every day of the study break! and when i heard remedials were for C and below, it seemed like i wldnt even have a study break at all! wow! amazing school, really. tag weijie i think i shld start studying really. my prelims were so crap. haha impart some wisdom to me leh zeph they've been crappy... but i havent been pawning them. hai. hope ure doin well haha bec too stressssed? nah i wont. too worried maybe heh cl good luck for chem! though i tink u wont see this in time for the chem paper haha

its been quite a relaxing 2 days post prelims, though the prelims are still nagging on my brain. went swimming ytd, celebrated mei's bday, watched ratatou-whatever, shopped at queensway. fun, but tiring. watched arsenal win today (whee), heard that mourinho got sacked, met jiejie for lunch, went out with s56, supposedly to celebrate silvia's bday, but she didnt come. urgh. watched evan almighty, and i think its a great show! (YES, great) mayb only van and i sort of appreciated the show since we know the background of the story (think noah's ark) since we're christians. cldnt help noticing how in some parts we were laughing while the others werent. hmm. abit unfair maybe, since bruce almighty's storyline really didnt have anything biblical in it. actually the movie touched me in the sense that it portrayed how noah had to face all those difficulties in the past when he built the ark, albeit it being presented in a modern and humorous way. its a pretty good reminder of how you may be doing the right thing even though the whole world is up against you. gonna sleep soon, adios. tag gloria yup im going. i'll bring cards! haha ure goin rite? alex umm not too sure, it was jus hearsay. haha keep ur fingers crossed though!

lazed much of the day away, trying hard not to do anything much. after all, that's what breaks are for. went to play soccer with the dhs 4g ppl, with addison plus jian from the vs side. didnt play much, but i was super late, so im not complaining. haha really miss playing soccer (hint to 4h guys) anyway, discovered this christian band called casting crowns. they do have a nice sound and the lyrics are pretty meaningful too. mmm shall keep this short cos im still feeling lazy now. adios. went to yccl yesterday to get to know the ppl over there, and take part in their mid autumn celebrations. the church was pretty big. actually i realized that almost every church seems pretty big compared to ours. but then, a cosier church isnt too bad. as with other church gatherings, we had pizza. speaking of which, i really need to go run soon.. havent run at all since the prelims ended and all these sinful food are bad. gloria came too, which meant bridge! haha during dinnertime wesley, gloria & her bf, and i sneaked up to the roof to play bridge. like super desperate la. haha celebrations itself werent too bad, the food was nice too. watched abit of the arsenal game at some tampines coffeeshop after that, watching them sweep off derby comfortably. yawnzzzzz. life's good as an arsenal fan. haha wonder how man u will fare against chelsea. hmmm feeling sorta fan2 now, but well it'll blow over soon. i need a healthy dose of jiejie's tea and sympathy, really. shall stop here for now. adios =) tag khyrul sure come add more fuel to the fire. but im quite satisfied already actually. haha van cos im not really sure u appreciated the show? ha (: weijie of course! it had to happen sooner of later.. haha. u better hope drogba comes back from injury soon.. heh gloria not 3 meh? :o ha actually still very little. who ask u dun take bus wif us? haha dunno when will be the nxt time we'll get to play :(

as promised, my results. hmm shall start with the worst. an S for physics, which really breaks my heart since now my jc physics record is an astounding SEEES (midyr, promo, ct1, ct2, prelim). even though i'd expected it, it still makes me feel so crappy. next, a C for maths. which breaks my heart as well, since i was aiming for a B and the paper was easier than ct2. at least i improved though. and finally the surprise package season, a B for computing. first ever B in my entire jc life (pathetic right?), and will probably be my highest grade for prelims. im quite pleased with it, since my previous computing grade was an S. but obviously there's still more work to be done. what's left is econs, and gp. sort of screwed econs essays, so im crossing my fingers and hoping my case study will snatch me a D, which is still pretty lousy. gp.... not really thinking about that yet since its so unpredictable. tag gloria starts 30 oct, ends 23 nov. so i'll prob see you on 24th for the soccer thingy rite? haha can bridge then! quite a long time though :(

if you minus away the excitement at receiving my prelim results, school's been really dull again. how could my 7 full days of slackness have gone past so fast (i got 7 cos i take COMPUTING. woot.) ? jus disappeared, in a blur. visited many many many music stores ytd in an attempt to find fir's new album. hmv, sembawang, cdrama, music junction, blah blah blah. and none of them had it! and record companies still ask ppl to support originals when there isnt even stock on the day of release. hnnnnngghhhh. suppressing the urge to just to dl it and save myself the hassle (and money too)
