okay i'm finally back from my totally unplanned hiatus after much nagging. and i've decided to introduce a new skin after sticking with the old one for so long. and..
i've passed my driving! (:
ooooooohwhee. 12 points.
actually throughout the whole test i thought i failed cos i made a damn noob mistake right at the start.
i didnt release the handbrake fully!
so i was totally in panic mode after that. quite surprised i actually got through the stuff in the circuit without much problems. so when the tester didnt test emergency brake and deviated from the test route AND didnt test me on U-turns, i thought it was over!
(cos i thought the handbrake thing was an immediate failure. phew!)
anyway, he didnt even stick to the test route. just drove outside for about 10 minutes and came back in.
so here's the breakdown of my 12 points:
2 - never release handbrake! damn noob.
4 - never check blindspot (which i wanted to deny, but since i passed, who cares?)
4 - fail to conform safety during parallel park (which i had probably committed even though i make sure i look all over the place before moving)
2 - turning the steering wheel while vehicle is stationary (which is impossible, but again who cares?)
i was practically dancing after stepping out of the debriefing room knowing that i passed.
woo.
took the family car out for a drive this morning. quite scary, the way all those expensive cars and taxi drivers just cut into your lane because you have a P plate.
grr.

im getting hooked onto the pigeon detectives.
no, its not a new tv show nor animal documentary. its a band from uk, with a nice fast catchy sound.
perks up my day!
anyway i just woke up, meaning i slept for 10+ hours? wow. all the accumulated fatigue after yesterday's run/gym, swim and nite out. luckily this morning's gathering got cancelled, else i would have had to miss it. hmmm.
okay no time for breakfast, time for lunch!

watched the f1 from home, where i could relax in the comfort of my sofa and i had free flow of china milk drinks.
was supporting iceman all along, and when he crashed out of the 4th-last lap i almost cried. actually i dont really like ferrari, but i support raikkonen, so either way i'll lose somehow.
as long as pretty boy lewis didnt win, i'd be happy. so i was happy that alonso the underdog won.
anyway, besides putting singapore on the world map (as pm says), it also increases singapore's carbon emissions. 1600 light projectors, 4 times brighter than lights found in stadiums?
that's so much power.
and more power = more heat
which would probably explain why it is so hot and humid today.
last night, my kitchen's wall thermometer read 31degrees C, which is pretty hot for an evening.
so as much as stb would like to promote singapore as a "hot" (figuratively) place to visit, its literal hotness increases as well, which does turn some visitors off.
not to mention some local citizens as well.
