Need to find a new clinic

I just learned that my dentist is going to be retiring. I guess this means that I will need to find a new dentist in Tijuana for a all my followups. This is somewhat of a letdown as I wanted to have one central dentist take care of all my needs. ... Read More

Bone graft update

My bone grafts seem to be filling in nicely. It is an odd sensation having bone regrowing in your jaw. I can literally feel it filling in as time goes, if I poke it with my finger I can feel the density increasing. ... Read More

Bone grafts

I had my bone grafts done today. It was a strange sensation, but definitely wasn't painful at all. The doctor just injects this weird liquid that comes in a cartridge into your jaw. Now I just have to wait for the bone graft to heal before I can have the actual implants placed. ... Read More

Consultation today

I had my initial consultation today. I need several dental implants, so it was quite a long consultation. There are many steps involved in the process, and it will take several months. The first step will be my extractions, which I am not looking forward to me. The dentist assured me that he has all the modern anesthesia, including the laughing gas... Read More

Why I started this blog

I started this website to detail my experience in what's often referred to as dental tourism - basically the act of travelling to a foreign country for dental work, often a second world country where your currency is valued much higher. I found the process to be quite the adventure, and thought it would lend itself well to a blog. Also, I had many ... Read More
