The ACMEE-Industrial Exhibition, which is due on June 19, 2008 in Chennai, will be one of India's biggest industrial shows. The exhibition, covering 18,000 sq. m.in the Chennai Trade Center, will be inaugurated by SPIC Chairman A. C. Muthiah. It would present reticular areas of high technology under one unifying pedestal with the participants mainly focussing on products, solutions and services in the areas of CNC machine tools, automobiles, mechanical and plant engineering, electrical engineering, electronics, information technology (IT) and software.



Like all other years, ACMEE 2008, will be preceded by conferences and company presentations, to provide the visitors with in-depth information to help in identifying the key trends and adapt to changing market conditions. These conferences provide an excellent opportunity to obtain primary information and establish first-class contacts.



While the fair mainly targets the manufacturers and suplliers of automobile, packaging, plasitic, biotech petroleum, computers related industries, it showcases a plethora of industrial tools such as Power Tools, Hand Tools, Couplings, Abrasives, Hydraulics & Pneumatics Systems, Pumps, Valves, Electric Motors, Hoses, Pipes and the list is just endless.



ACMEE-2008 will see visitors from all walks of the machine and tools industry, including Manufacturing Industries Managers, System Operators, Instrumentation Experts, Plant Managers, Public System and Service Managers, Technicians and Maintenance Operators, Buyers, System Planners, Engineering Companies, Research Operators and many others.



According to Dilip Kumbhat, Chairman, ACMEE 2008, about 420 exhibitors would participate in the event. Out of these, 40 would be from China, Hong Kong, France, Germany, the U.K. and the U.S. It would be a great platform for exchanging diverse product information, technical details, business contacts, besides market information and outsourcing potentiality.

The exhibition is due to cover all engineering goods and services besides auto components and machine tools. Mr. Khumbat further said that a buyer seller meet on auto components would be organised along with with the main exhibition. Auto majors like Cummins India, Simpson & Co., SICAL India, Lucas TVS, Greaves Cotton, Rane Madras and Brakes India will actively participate in the exhibition.



The credit of organising the exbhibition goes to the Ambattur Industrial Estate Manufacturers’ Association (AIEMA) and the AIEMA Technology Centre. The number of participants who have alredady been registered, depicts an increase of 42 percent in comparison to ACMEE 2007. It is expected that ACMEE 2008 will witness more than 80% of participants from the SME(small and medium enterprises).
