tradeshow Some Exciting Moments at Soldier Technology 2008 - Subscribe
At last, I got a chance to pay a visit to the Soldier Technology, 2008 on Monday. Starting from 3rd Nov, it is a three day affair that would end on 5th Nov. The exhibition is scheduled to be held at the Intercontinental Hotel Eros, Nehru Place, New Delhi. It is organized by the Worldwide Business Research, New York, United States. I have always been interested in knowing about different defence related technologies, as my father was also in Indian Army. So, I was determined to visit the exhibition on its very first day.

Soldier Technology, 2008 has brought together system integrators, defence equipment suppliers and contractors, and distributors related to products and services applicable to infantry schools and SMP (Simultaneous Membership Program) program managers. I was thrilled to find exhibitors from different corners of the world, displaying advanced defence equipments. As the exhibition is on defence related applications and equipments, I was expecting to see some top military officials. I was right, as there were many top military figures from India's Infantry Directorate. To my surprise, the exhibition also marked the presence of top researchers from DRDO, senior managers from the Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPR&D), and also purchase managers and R&D officials from Defence Public Sector Undertakings (DPSUs). The presence of top researchers from DRDO indicates the importance of this exhibition. This is because DRDO functions as a wing of the Department of Defence Research and Development.

Soldier Technology, 2008 also witnessed the presence of some exclusive visitors in the form of some top government/police /military officials. There were also many other officials, who are associated with national infantry SMP or programs related to dismounted force modernization. As the exhibition is all about showcasing the latest equipment facilities directly from the industry leaders, it may offer a great opportunity to the prime contractors working with SMPs, and now want to bid to become the prime contractor for a national SMP or domestic defence force.

Visiting the exhibition was indeed a great experience, as it allowed me to see the advanced defence equipments and other facilities. I would like to visit such exhibitions again and again.

tradeshow An opportunity to see the latest trends in Index Furniture Nov 13th, 2008 11:41:46 am - Subscribe
I love to decorate my house with new furniture and different home decor accessories. This makes me genuinely interested in attending different fairs and exhibitions that showcase furniture and other items for decorating homes and offices. In this regard, I should consider myself lucky because this Thursday (13th Nov) only, I got an opportunity to visit the Index Furniture -Delhi Expo at NSIC Exhibition Center, New Delhi. It is a 4 day affair, starting from 13th Nov, 2008 to 16th Nov, 2008. Every year, it is organized by the Universal Expositions Limited, Mumbai, India. The primary objective of this fair is to showcase the latest variety in furniture and other accessories for office and home decor and thus create a market for them.

Although, I had never visited this fair before, I liked the whole concept of this event immensely. This exhibition is all about displaying not merely indoor home furniture and other accessories, but also a wide range of wooden products, machinery and equipment, including garden accessories, outdoor furniture, and many more.

On entering the NSIC Exhibition Center's premises, I could see a huge crowd waiting to seek entry into the Index Furniture Expo. I felt nice because there are many people like me who are always eager to know about the latest trends in furniture and other home accessories. Once I entered into the exhibition hall, I was surprised to find such a wide variety in the exhibitors' profile. The exhibitor's list included companies dealing in home furniture, living room, garden furniture and accessories, garden equipments, dining furniture, children's furniture, kitchen, bathroom, office furniture, hospitality furniture, furniture hardware and intermediates, interior accessories, and many more. The list is just close to endless. I was extremely thrilled to find an incredible variety in these items, something that I did not expect. After this fair, I think that there is no need for me to visit any other place to find exclusive variety in furniture. I have already found them in this expo and may make them a part of my home very soon.

The Index Furniture Expo has attracted visitors of varied profile, besides common visitors like me. The list includes architects and interior designers, builders, property managers and consultants, executives from corporate houses, hotels, and BPOs, wholesalers, distributors and traders of furniture and other accessories, and so on. I was excited to find some high net worth individuals and international buyer delegations at the expo.

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to the fair. If you too are looking for the latest trends in home and office furniture and decor accessories, you must pay a visit to this fair. If not now, try your luck next time.
