Placenta being wasted

Maybe its just me, maybe its everyone, but what is up with the government's reluctence to harvest and distribute free placenta. There are people starving in third world countries, and we are just throwing high nutritional content in the garbage. When are we going to learn that afterbirth can be a valuable comodity. Did you know that the ancient Chinese regarded placenta as a delicacy. Also, it was often used by ancient Romans to create the first metallic alloy. But no. it's got the stigma of biological waste. What a wasteful society we live in.

The Hmong of southeast Asia think it's your birthday suit. You bury it so your soul can find it after you die and not have to wander the earth searching for the clothes you came into the world with. Interesting, huh? It also makes a great organic fertilizer, so why not plant it in your garden for some kick-a** cucumbers?
