ucladboat Week 6! A.K.A. Pre-Race Week - Subscribe
Hi all!

Good job at practices this weekend. It was rough making it out to double practices but we made it! Race is just around the corner, so TAKE CARE OF YOURSELVES! Don't get sick or burn yourselves out!

EXCITING NEWS:

`Tuesday: Land practice at Drake Stadium at 8pm.
Thursday: Fundraiser at ACAPULCOS (more details to be sent out soon)
Friday: Leave FOR NORCAL

ALSO IMPORTANT:

* DRIVERS FOR NORCAL: get your driver forms filled out at the DMV as soon as possible and turn them into the club sports office.
* Car lists will be sent out, and prepare your rides within your cars accordingly.
* Race Packets will be sent out tomorrow giving you all the details for NORCAL.

Heyhey,

First of all, CONGRATULATIONS on an absolutely (insert swear word here) awesome race day. It's running really late and I'm sure you're going to get another email regarding the awesomeness of the day, but this email is just a quick heads up about the post race festivities :-).

Tentatively we're looking at.. later tonight (Monday night), as there is no school Tuesday. The location is TBA and you'll be getting an email soon to confirm all details. Get some rest and hydrate. It's going to be bomb.

Hi everyoneee!

Congratulations to all of you guys again for such a great day of racing on Sunday! You all were amazing and it was great to see all of you supporting each other throughout the day.

There will be no practice this week (land or boat). Take a good long rest because you all deserve it. Land practices may commence again next week, but that is TBD. We'll let ya guys know =]

Thank you to all those who housed your fellow dboaters over the weekend. We really appreciate it! Also, thank you to all the drivers for driving those monstrous super shuttles all the way up to norcal and back to LA.

Ok, that's it for now! Hope you all thoroughly enjoyed yourselves at post-race last night!

ucladboat Tahoe Trip Update Nov 15th, 2008 7:15:07 pm - Subscribe
Hey team!

Congratulations, again, on an amazing weekend! There's still things coming up!

Coming up during the Winter break will be our annual trip to Tahoe for a retreat! We'll be heading up to Lake Tahoe and staying at a cabin and go skiing and snowboarding together and just hang out.

Here's how it looks (generally) so far:

Day 1: Socal people drive up to Norcal (Sacramento) and bay area people drive up to Sacramento to stay the night. So far, Jen Sun and Angela Yu will be able to house in the area.
Day 2: Drive up to Lake Tahoe and go ski/snowboard. (More details later)
Day 3: Ski/snowboard. (More details later)
Day 4: Head back home.

The possible days are the week before Christmas (somewhere between the 15th and the 22nd), the week between Christmas and New Years (26th to the 29th of Dec) and after New Years (Jan 2 - 5). Please update the evite with your preferred dates and the ones you can make so we'll be able to accomodate the majority. Drivers, please also update the evite noting that you'll be able to drive up. Thanks!!!

Hi All,

Hope you all enjoyed the practice-free weekend. However, with race out of the way we are going to ramp up our fundraising efforts. We are looking for any volunteers who would like to be part of the Sponsorship Committee. In order to supplement our current fundraising activities, we want to reach out to potential sponsors of UCLA Dragonboat. In the past we have been supported by Beard Papa's and Volcano Tea (theres a team picture of us in there), and we really want to find more supporters. If any of you are interested in helping UCLA Dragon Boat raise money and boost publicity, we are looking for motivated individuals to a be a part of this committee.
