Despite the horrendous but all too common mass murder in Colorado I did go to see The Dark Knight Rises. I was considering posting some comments until I read Wajahat Ali's excellent review. Since he articulates many of the points I would have made (sans scientific nitpicks) better than I could I recommend reading his take on the film.
