I just spent over an hour writing a detailed review of Toei's amazing sentai parody show Unofficial Sentai Akibaranger (非公認戦隊アキバレンジャー), but when I hit the "Create Entry" button the blog ate my post. しまった! So here's the abbreviated version. Akibaranger is a terrific show poking fun not only at the clichés of sentai shows but also the odd obsessions of otaku culture. Even if you've only ever seen a few of those bastardized Power Rangers show as a kid you'll enjoy it. Fansubs are available courtesy of the Over-Time group, so if you're in the mood for some light-hearted lampooning of super sentai shenanigans be sure to check it out. Just don't start calling Z-Cune Aoi your waifu!
