Comcast is getting on my last nerve. Last Thursday, my cable was DISCONNECTED because I supposedly bounced a check (although I had PLENTY of money in my account at the time). I made an instant bank account transfer, and it went through (with no trouble I thought) and credited my account. Little did I know that I had transposed some numbers that their payment program did not pick up on...it processed the payment anyway! No one every notified me that the payment did not go through. When I came home Thursday night, I discovered that my cable was out. I called and found out what had happened. I was charged twenty dollars for the NSF fee and was going to have to pay a forty dollar re-connection fee! I went down to Comcast's office and the nice lady waived both fees. I just had to repay my bill plus the next month's bill. I would have to wait until Monday (four days later) before my cable would be reconnected. Monday came, and my cable was NOT reconnected. I called, complained, and received a twenty dollar credit. The lady told me, "I have you scheduled for tomorrow...if your cable's not connected tomorrow when you come home, call me and we'll give you another $20 credit, and we'll keep giving you $20 credits until they connect your cable." I was happy with that! Guess what...I called Tuesday night (before leaving work) to make sure they had connected it...THEY HAD NOT!!!! I talked to the lady I had talked to before. She said that she remembered our conversation and that she rescheduled me for Feb 1st, not Jan 31. Although she had plainly told me that it was "tomorrow" which was Jan 31...and to call back "tomorrow" (Jan 31) if it was not connected. I got nowhere with her...she would not budge. The conversation had been recorded, but they could not pull up a particular conversation, so I was stuck with only my word and her computer notes. So...today, they DID connect my cable, BUT it's fuzzy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GRRRRRRRRRRR I'm switching to the Dish Network or Direct TV!!!

Well well well....guess what? I think when I was last speaking of the Comcast Saga, they had connected my cable, and the picture was full of static...that was Wednesday night. That same night, I called and talked to a man. He told me the first available appointment for a technician to come out was on Friday (3rd). I thought that was strange because the lady I spoke to before said Monday was the first available...but he explained that there are different repairmen for different problems. Finally, he said that he had me down for TOMORROW between 8AM-12PM. He said "tomorrow" although he had previously stated that Friday was the first opening. So, I got off the phone thinking, "ohhh...tomorrow! good!" Well..."tomorrow" came, 12-noon came, but no cable man came! I called and spoke to a woman...she said my appt was for tomorrow. I told her the man had said "tomorrow," so she gave me another 20 dollar credit. "I know I'm not crazy...you guys need to check your scheduling program or something!" She said she'd scheduled me for THAT afternoon (she changed my appt...moved it up from the 3rd to 2nd). I told her to go ahead and keep my other appt ALSO just in case I still needed them to come out again. Guess what! They did not come to my house yesterday. I called Comcast before I went home lastnight, and they said they had me scheduled for tomorrow. I gave up...just started laughing...felt totally cuckoo! I should have asked for another 20 dollar credit...but I was just too tired from the crazy cable week! |
