I just beat Quake2 for the second time. It is much easier than I remember. I played it on the hard setting. I was halfway through when I discovered that there is a harder than hard secret setting. I am not going to play it again just to change to that. When I first played it, I was uncoordinated in the right-hand mouse look, left hand maneuver method. I used instead, the right hand use arrow keys, and the left shoot. The big boss was too easy to defeat. All it took was 1 invulnerability and 1 quad damage and 500 rounds with the gatling gun. Even without the protection it was easy. It may be nostalgia, but I enjoyed and still enjoy this game. It was my first completion of a game on computer. It's a refreshing break from the frag fests of multiplayer. There is a point after all. Next up: The second game I defeated: Blood 2. The music in that game has been some of the best I've heard. |
