I finally got a dvd burner. It's a NEC ND-3540A. It is supposed to be pretty good. I got it from Newegg. And here is the info so I don't have to pull out the drive in order to see it again. I'm not sure what I could possibly need, but it is always a pain to take the drives out. Mostly, it's for firmware updates, I guess.

I made 1 burn already. I got a 25pack of DVD-R 4.7GB free with my burner from Newegg, but it added $4 for shipping, but it was still an ok deal. I burnt the Solaris 10 iso. The burn went fine and everything was good. I am happy.
Unfortunately I didn't leave an 8GB partition open, so I couldn't install it. Right now I don't feel like going through a re-setup just for experimental reasons. I wasn't really prepared anyway and my wireless card is not supported. I was going to do gentoo Linux first, but you need internet access to do the fully custom setup, I think. I don't see the point of gentoo, without the fully custom setup. I also tried Ubuntu again. It's nice but unfortunately to install the kernel source, as far as I can tell, you need to use apt-get. But for that to be successful, you need internet of course. So I need internet to install the kernel source to install my wireless card. A roll eye gif is appropriate here. Of course I have not researched that much. There probably is a way. Eventually, I'll get prepared and go somewhere where I can hook up to a wired lan and do a gentoo setup. I'd settle for something else in the mean time.
