I got a playstation so that I could play Resident Evil. I played it at a friends house and got addicted. I went out and bought the $55 Directors cut with the preview to part 2. Then I watched as the price of that game drastically dropped. Also disturbing was the fact that the directors cut added basicaly nothing. Since then I have never payed more than $20 for a game. The natural progression of games seems that eventually they all drop under $20. For PC games, it also means that most likely a game that is a couple of years old will be able to run at best quality for everything on the current computer. Then there are patches available and there are mods. Dowsides of course are that the game may not be available such as Star Trek: Bridge Commander and multiplayer will possibly be unpopulated.
Ok, so I bought Neverwinter Nights at Fry's for $20 because I remember it being a highly reccomended game and I am sick of the first person cliche ridden shooters. It turns out it is my new addiction. It is still a little difficult to figure out how some things work since I am new to Dungeons and Dragons and the idea of rollinging. But still it is time consuming and enjoyable. Multiplayer options seem to be a lively populated envirnment still after 2 years. So once I finnish the single player, I can go play online some more.
So in summary, I enjoy playing NWN. Having the time to play it is good as well.
