Real Rhapsody

Mood: pissed

I am kind of pissed off. Over a year ago I got the free trial to Real Rhapsody. Of course I was not actually interested in it, but through Mypoints, I was supposed to get about 2000 points. Naturally I didn't get the points. It seems that they forget to reward a person on some of the bigger point awards.

I canceled after about a day and uninstalled the software. All ok, I think. A couple of weeks ago I get a message from them about how great it is that now real networks and rhapsody are manageable with one password. So I think that shouldn't affect me as I no longer have an account. Then tonight I'm cleaning out my inbox, see it again, and for curiosity, I try to log in since the email has a forgotten password link. To my surprise I still have an active account, the rhapsody25 or something like that. Also my credit card is still on file. I'm kind of unhappy now. So I go to account management and try to delete it, but I can't because it needs a number. So I search and find the link to cancel account, which I have already done once. When you click on it, it takes you to a couple of questions first. And then... it gives you a phone number to call during regular business hours. What a load of shit. Now I hate real. I used to actually use it because with all the crap turned off it is better the WMP for sampling music from places like amazon.

Now I have to waste minutes to call them up and recancel an account that's already been canceled. I hate it that companies feel like they need to store credit card numbers. Ok, I'm done ranting. I ran out of steam.

And here is the cacel number: 1-866-311-0567.

That blows wade. Last time I got mypoints was from there free magazine deals. I would highly recommend just doing those, and the simple points surveys.

Is Mypoints one of those websites that pays you to complete offers? That really sucks. You should try inboxdollars.com, they actually PAY money.

Actually, my main complaint isn't with Mypoints. I've earned over $150 with them. I was displeased with Rhapsody. It just makes my time even more wasted that I didn't get the points. I've been with Mypoints since about 1997 or 98 and I'm about to get another $50. Not bad for just clicking on email, and responding to offers I actually like.
