OK then it's been a while since I have done any posting here. sorry blog I am a bad owner I know.....

Well enough of that, I was thinking the other day that I have no idea how this depression is affecting other people. Manatoba seems to be pretty stable during it but I'm wondering about everywhere else. The reason being that I have not seen prices go down yet on necessary items like food. That seems a bit strange because Depressions usually cause a whole lota price dropping well then again it might be top soon for that.

anyone who knows me should know that I have a love hate relationship with Shin Megami Tensei. I have always enjoyed the premise behind these games but I had a bad crossing with digital devil saga, now I only played the first but it seemed over simplified. However I digress it apears as though they have made a MMO thats also free to play (pay for perks).

it can be found at http://megaten.aeriagames.com. It looks amazing but I'm still dling it so we'll see

DRM Questions

Ok now you can call me silly if you like but DRM seems like a Silly Idea to me, I have yet to see a game take less then a week from release to pirate and have seen many out before the release now these by default will bypass any DRMs besides for online play and some even have work arounds for that.

So in essence the only ones effected by DRMs are paying customers and the people who crack the game (and I think They love the challenge). There subecting Paying customers to all this hooplah essentially to delay crackers a day maybe a week tops. In fact I've only seen one company do DRM somewhat right and thats steam the only problem with them is you have to have a active internet connection to play the game even if your only playing one player.

It gets worse, if you buy a MP3 with DRM protection your use of that MP3 is limited severely. Where as most pirated versions work fine forever and are easily stored.

Personally I think they should just stop with DRM in games and MP3's all together it only effects those who pay and costs them lots of money for barely any results.

Seriously there shooting them selfs in there own god damn foot here.

well that's the end of this bloody rant sorry for subjecting you to it.
